My mum wouldn’t let me have these cos she said they would break my wrist …. spoilsport! :(
Think they were banned at primary school for the same reason (or more likely cos the sound of 300 of them at playtime would have driven the teachers mad!!!) :DI loved Golly… not allowed now.
I can honestly say as a little girl when I cuddled up to golly it never occurred to me I was was being racist :? I often wonder what happened to him, he is long gone but I miss golly :(
Stole 2 pics as i liked them as a child Hopscotch and French skipping .

also clackers yep i remember them,but in our part of the world im sure we called them “knockers” i tried to do them once band bruised my knuckles :oops:
