Now I’ve uninstalled it, I’m not having those same random crashes or failures to connect.
Pity.
I’d miss your input too much
9 September, 2007 at 6:02 pm #287269I know your a jock and you dont like parting with money but wouldnt it just be easier to take it to a shop and get somebody to sort the whole thing properly?
9 September, 2007 at 8:04 pm #287270No, cos we don’t have anywhere like that here. Used to, but not any more – it got replaced a while back by some shop few people realize is actually there.
The guarantee has just recently expired too.
9 September, 2007 at 8:22 pm #287271re installing an operating system should cure your problems i would say, nothing to lose.. just insert your windows xp disc and install it again.. i’m sure it lets you do that
9 September, 2007 at 9:24 pm #287272As per a previous post … he doesn’t have a boot up CD so he is stuffed (yet again).
Johnboy … I am in total agreement with ”Anita” on this one. You should throw your computer down the stairs and claim on the insurance.
Better still …. set fire to the effing thing !!!
9 September, 2007 at 9:27 pm #287273That’s maybe a bit drastic don’t you think?! It’s working, and I only use my PC for the internet so as long as I have an online connection that’s the main thing.
It’s just these infuriating niggles that are severely testing my already limited patience levels.
AND….
I’m full of the cold (just thought I’d throw that in since I’m moaning about everything else!)
9 September, 2007 at 10:51 pm #287274Or if throwing it down the stairs and setting fire to it dont destroy it, let DOA “fix it” for you
DOA: thrown down the stairs, and been set on fire, been run over,….i know why it dont work, its a virus!
Sorry DOA but i couldnt resist lol.
9 September, 2007 at 11:00 pm #287275Think I may have stumbled on a solution. I noticed earlier that everytime one appears, the norton 360 toolbar is at the top of the page. From there, I can report the site for phising.
The ‘extreme acts of violence’ method has been considered several times Anita, but I’ve managed to show restraint. Fair enough, I’ve smacked it a few times but other than that…
10 September, 2007 at 6:15 am #28727610 September, 2007 at 11:24 am #287277Cheers Bat, I managed to get that one dowloaded. Funny thing is, I actually tried that one yesterday but instead of downloading it just crashed my PC and restarted it.
Must be your fair links!
:D
