Thing is, Dreamsprite, I appreciate what you’re saying, but it isn’t that simple. Some of us can’t walk, and don’t have available public transport, and some of us can’t wait for an ambulance to take an hour or more to reach us. I desperately need our big 4×4 so-called ‘gas-guzzler’ to transport me and my paraphernalia in event of emergency.
My hubby offsets things by producing his own bio-diesel, and we grow most of our own veg. But to be honest, I think the whole ‘carbon footprint’ malarkey is a big fat con.

That’s fair enough Esmeralda, as I understand why you would need that, that is why i put ambulances, fire engines etc.. as there are alot of grey areas in this topic. But what bugs me mostly are people who literally drive everywhere, like a five minute walkaway and are able bodied. I’m just glad I am not that lazy.

I love walking! I think people forget how enjoyable it actually is these days.

My kids have always walked to and from school, and I have never had a problem as they are so used to it. Even if by some miracle dave gets time off work and the car is available, we still walk.

Plus with the price of petrol now we will be doing even more walking, and so will many others.

Motor racing is my hobby – i am a petrol head. If i had to give up my car and it was possible for me to afford a house closer to the city, then i would gladly sell it.

Amazing, almost triple the amount of us say tree huging.

So, you 8 grow your own vegetables do you? You have livestock with acres of land?

Thats what no petrol means. How do you think eggs, ham, sugar, milk etc get to the supermarket, by rowing boat

    No petrol equals:

    No holidays abroad.
    No internet connection.
    No sky tv.
    No car.
    No buses.
    Milk £2 a pint.
    Loaf of bread £2.

Spain is running out of food, why, because theres no petrol being sold.

There is no ‘ two ‘ to decide between. My ancestors used to hug their trees in the rain forest. Not that they were namby-pamby liberal types, but because otherwise they’d fall out. Bloody argumentative lot.

Then over time these areas of forestation would be compressed under the earth and become subject to extreme forces. And eventually become oil. So all is one.

((((( loves nature, so hugs car, and thinks of ancestors )))))

I’m going to go miss out the middle man and go straight for hugging petrol.
