Emma- I could from a philosophy which believes in CPD (Continuous Professional Development)- anyone can have CPD, it just means you get off yer ar/se n rather than watch the soaps every night of the week, you assess what skills you need either to do your job or another one you’d like to have and you go and get those skills either through your work, night school, on line, . That way you’re always ahead of the market n if you lose your job, you can simply find another one.
It’s nothing to do with class, money or previous education- its about taking responsibility for your future- you create your own destiny, you do not let others do it for you.
So your question to me is unanswerable- its like saying, “what would you do if your car broke down n you couldn’t get to work?”- I’d bike, walk or get the bus, hitch a lift but I wouldnt blame the german car, the french tyres or the iranian oil-

Emma, 50 years ago the government asked Jamaicans among others to come and work in this country because white people thought they were above working on the trains, buses and many other trades that were considered low skilled. Unfortunate then that these people were a little bit smarter than your average white union led car plant worker, and they worked and sacrificed to get up the ladder.
This same attitude still exists in todays society, kids come out of school in socially challenged areas with naff all qualifications and expect to be company directors, the thought of starting at the bottom and working the way up is unheard of.
So it’s hardly surprising when a Polish company wants to get something done it’s going to use people it knows will put some effort into it and not whine about pay and conditions all the time.
I’ve had loads of building work done and to be honest the Poles are quicker more honest more trust worthy and cheaper, and I learnt this through bitter experience with a white British builder.With reference to the builders in Germany in the 80’s, now we know how they felt, but at the time I don’t recall the nf moaning about that, or did they have a campaign to re-call all the lads back home? :roll:
Same with the Irish they came over worked there b0ll0cks off
Maybe if the English worked a bit harder they wouldn’t need cheep workers
Where i work we have a few and god they don’t move
Unlike the white workers who will do any think not to pull there finger out there ar se
same with the Asian they spend most the day washing there feet and preying
They don’t need to clock out but the smokers do
Never understood that at all
There is good bad lazy hard working in every one
Just a pitty the good people dont get more help instead of the lazy bast rds who dont get out of bed and get all the help they want

NO, they were brought here because the government had a promise due to them helping us win a war, and they thought we needed more hands to build the country, which we didn’t.

NO, they are training people from their homeland.

I feel sympathy for those germans who needed the work. It seems its alright for homeland foreigners to moan than people here…
Folks here are missing the point. The “british” in general over the last hundreds of years, have EARNT themselves the right to earn a good living. The rest of the world havn’t done that, and now think they deserve some of the unearnt credit, not fair.

The reason your average English worker demands a good living, is because over the years their forefarthers have given them the chance to.
Now your saying the average English person should be stripped of the efforts given to them through the years. Thats like saying, you cant have your inheritence because someone in Poland will spend it better…

And about you being able to get another job because you gained education to do so, fine, thats brilliant, well done. Why SHOULD everyone do that? I personally think its imoral to unfairly sack someone just because you can get someone else cheaper. You’re a cold hearted bloke slayer.
Should someone who hasn’t the time to re-educate themselves for another job, lose theirs so someone from Poland can do it cheaper?
Emma, go to any job centre and see the lying, cheating layabouts with their hands out and tell me they earned a right to a cozy life.
They’re an embarresment to this country, with all the jobs about there is not one reason for any person to be unemployed, but they choose the easy option.
Your wrong about the immigrants in the 50’s, they were invited and why not, they did give up their lives for this land.
