Ever watch “Auf Wiedersein Pet”…………. comedy drama written about the hoardes of English builders that invaded Europe in the 80’s.
 You obviously havn’t read what i wrote.
The English back then were asked by foreigners to work for them. What they back then have to do with foreigners working here today is beyond me.
Slayer, whilst we have unemployed people in this country, we should have a duty to employ those first. That helps YOU.
Incapable of individual thought? Im showing the world what a bunch of idiots the old gang is, telling of this story. YOU are an idiot for voting for them, because they would rather support people abroad than you and YOUR family.
“WHEN German company Lentjes GmbH won the contract to construct a flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) plant at Ferrybridge power station it gave a written commitment to the local community that it would use and train the local workforce to be involved in the project.”
The old gang you support have let down the people in Scunthorpe who were looking forward to the good prospect of local work, which would help their community.
Slayer, would YOU mind if your boss found someone thats cheaper than what you get? Surely it would be better to train someone from poland to take over from you on less money?
Oh dear Emma have we gone into hypocrite mode again…….. the British government in the 50’s and 60’s asked people from Jamaica to come over here to work so according to your theory regarding the Brit Builders of the 80’s that’s o.k. so why are your racist bnp lot trying to get rid of them?
Seems strange then that you now want to change your tune … a case of have your cake and eat it. Good old racist rubbish propaganda again.
Shame for the people of Scunthorpe that you racists are intent on stirring them up, bit like hitlers nazi party and the Jews.
Jelly Tot please feel free & type your location on your profile maybe we could meet & have a pint or something !!! :)ugo, would that be a very thinly veiled threat? How the bnp must be proud of their supporters, nothing like the old violent nf days eh ugo.
Just keep on eating the yorkies and hogging the middle lane rubber duck.
Any way what would be the point I like to use big words, you’d only get confused.

What has something that occured 50 and 25 years ago, got to do with 2007? Were talking about people working in England, not a foreign country.
Slayer’s scared to answer the question of whether we should employ the polish to do his job for less money, should we find someone to do your job for less money?

Unfortunately Emma I work for the NHS and my job is nationally evaluated both for terms and conditions and pay- my job is as safe as any other NHS job- if I lost my job because someone else undercut me, I’d go and find another one- simple really
You still havent answered my question (mainly cos the BNP can’t make up their mind)- is it OK for foreign companies to work here but not foreign workers? Is that the message?
28 January, 2007 at 11:40 pm #257976The local jobs will be created as promised, the Poles are doing the construction.
The benefit to the local community will be £6 million annually and 70 skilled jobs.More here.

I meant to add- get a blo/ody map if you think Ferrybridge is anywhere near Scunthorpe- it’s 2 miles from Pontefract (which is 38 miles from Scunthorpe)
So why would the BNP in Scunthorpe (Lincolnshire) be interested in something in West Yorkshire!!

If you lost your job due to being undercut, and you couldn’t get a job elsewhere, would that be ok?

It is legal. It is not my personal preference, i’d much prefer an unemployed person get the job, so we dont have to fund their benefit.
Its absolute madness to want otherwise.

It’s not just legal for foriegn companies to work here, it’s common sense- do you really honestly think British companies can support the livelihood of this nation?
If it weren’t for foreign investment (Nissan in Sunderland is a prime example), we would be sinking in unemployment and the brain drain on this country would be irreperable.

Its common sense to have a government that encourages companies to try slayer. If we carry on like this my friend, we will have mass unemployment that will topple the 3 day week. Last figures show 1.7 million unemployed, a million or so on sick benefit than in 97. I keep seeing were now the 5th best economy, 4 months ago we were 4th.
This government will bring us to our knees.
You’re avoiding this question like the plague. If you lost your job due to being undercut, and you couldn’t get a job elsewhere, would that be ok? Im guessing you wouldn’t like it, and consider it wrong, but that contradicts your earlier argument for others to lose the opportunity of work that was promised.
I am right arnt i.
30 January, 2007 at 9:54 am #257981Hot news in today’s papers. Apparently Polish laceworkers have been faced with problems selling enough of their lace products to Churches, so they have diversified.
They now make lace underwear for females (and male transvestites as well I guess). This means that British prostitutes will soon be wearing Polish lacy underwear.
Yet another example of a home industry being undermined by Polish imports. Is there no end to this takeover of our culture???

I really do need a yawn emoticon- if anyone loses their job Emma, they feel slightly peeved! But unlike you imply, I would get off my ar/se and find another one.
Funny how you ignored the question about Scunthorpe BNP complaining about something in West Yorkshire- but of course, you’d have taken the BNP soundbite at face value and not even looked at a map to where Ferrybridge was! You know Im right, do’t ya!
