From the BNP website:
WHEN German company Lentjes GmbH won the contract to construct a flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) plant at Ferrybridge power station it gave a written commitment to the local community that it would use and train the local workforce to be involved in the project.
But that hasn’t been the case with Lentjes awarding the mechanical erection contract to Polish company Mostostal Zabrze.
And there was more bad news awaiting the beleaguered South Yorkshire workforce when Mostostal announced that it would bringing its own Polish workers for the mechanical erection and would only use local labour as a “top-up” when necessary.
“This is a massive blow to the local community, Scunthorpe British National Party organiser Sean Hadley, told Freedom. Even though it was a Polish company that got the construction contract, it was still hoped that they would use local workers. But now Mostostal has starting training workers for the job in Poland, which makes a nonsense of the assurances given by Lentjes to use and train the local workforce. People here feel no one is listening to them. On May 3rd I think voters will want to show their disquiet. Labour politicians and the trade unions don’t seem to care that foreign companies are taking over British industry and that foreign workers are taking our jobs. It’s only the BNP that is saying this exclusion of British interests from the FGD project at Ferrybridge is a scandal”

Ever watch “Auf Wiedersein Pet”…………. comedy drama written about the hoardes of English builders that invaded Europe in the 80’s.
What’s the saying, oh yeah you reap what you sow.

British workers in the Middle East (Saudi especially)- tens of thousands of british “gap year” students travelling the world, taking local jobs from locals (often in countries that can ill afford it). You do indeed reap what you sow
So is Emma saying it’s wrong that a foreign company is working here or that the company using foreign workers is wrong? Never clear with a BNP soundbite
It will take a while for her to reply- she’ll have to check the BNP website for the response..being incapable of individual thought herself

Proper reply now
based on European law, I would assume the process to award a contract is through a full tender- therefore the Polish company represented best value for money- it’s called business and happens around the world. The company was rather stupid to suggest local workers would be used without first assuring themselves of that.
I also assume the Polish company are using polish workers because they are cheaper and have a different work ethic and hence they guarranteed winning the contract based on this. Is it legal? Of course it is. Is it ethical? The Poles are doing what many other businesses do throughout the world.
Our high cost of labour will continue to price us out of many markets- businesses will either move elsewhere or not come here in the first place.

 You obviously havn’t read what i wrote.
The English back then were asked by foreigners to work for them. What they back then have to do with foreigners working here today is beyond me.
Slayer, whilst we have unemployed people in this country, we should have a duty to employ those first. That helps YOU.
Incapable of individual thought? Im showing the world what a bunch of idiots the old gang is, telling of this story. YOU are an idiot for voting for them, because they would rather support people abroad than you and YOUR family.

The old gang you support have let down the people in Scunthorpe who were looking forward to the good prospect of local work, which would help their community.
Slayer, would YOU mind if your boss found someone thats cheaper than what you get? Surely it would be better to train someone from poland to take over from you on less money?
28 January, 2007 at 2:04 pm #257970i welcome the polish workers allows me to stay on the rock and roll

Oh dear Emma have we gone into hypocrite mode again…….. the British government in the 50’s and 60’s asked people from Jamaica to come over here to work so according to your theory regarding the Brit Builders of the 80’s that’s o.k. so why are your racist bnp lot trying to get rid of them?
Seems strange then that you now want to change your tune … a case of have your cake and eat it. Good old racist rubbish propaganda again.
Shame for the people of Scunthorpe that you racists are intent on stirring them up, bit like hitlers nazi party and the Jews.28 January, 2007 at 5:46 pm #257972@jelly tot wrote:
