The shock is not what the ailments/injuries/illness’s are, but the extortionate cost, its ridiculous!
But its never out of the want to spread rumour, just sheer nosyness cos I am a nosy bugger!

We are All nosey, erm “pet” but we assume that Data Protection protects us.. In our own line of employment we take account into the seriousness of being tempted to give out info. I have signed Data Protection as a mere call centre worker !
the onus being on,, can we keep a secret ? Of course we can “pet” .. id not like to see your medical records as im sure mine would bore YOU too !
privacy is privacy !
21 July, 2008 at 11:50 pm #354386The Data Protection Act falls apart on so many levels for me. For one thing, jurors are told not to discuss the case but people are free to wander in and out of the public gallery and hear largely the same evidence but with no restrictions that I know of.
Where do you draw the line? Technically speaking, police, fire brigade & ambulance radios are against data protection as there are names and addresses being passed over them which anyone within earshot can hear.
I know and fully understand why it’s there, I just think it gets unnecessarily over complicated sometimes.
22 July, 2008 at 12:07 am #354387its more a common and garden workplace thing John.. call centres etc.. like last week in tea in park,my daughter was right below a radio tower, and heard the discussion between walking talkies about the stabbing and how they did NOT want Press involved.
I more fear i get on YOUR wick ( for instance) and you can find out MY address. now i realise this is a hypothetical example. as id give ye my number etc out of friendship. The worry being some creep getting news of someone with data protection !
Ps whats the postcode for MK6 .4 DT :)
