Ive just been catching up with some news on my day off, and read a report about a particular constabulary where officers have been reprimanded or even sacked for corruption.

It seems they have checked things out, like who there daughter’s boyfriend is, and if any of their friends own stolen cars etc.

Would you be able to resist having a nose at the PNC about the people you know? I wouldnt and perhaps thats why Im not a copper!

Im always nosing at debtor’s lists and know heaps about people, but I wouldnt ever share it.

There’s nowt worse than a bent copper, Shazza! As Bill Tremblejavelin has it, “Lilies that fester, smell far worse than weeds.”

I’d look it’s human nature too be nosey. Teh way things are they should be doing all they can to keep coppers.

I do have access to that particular application at work, but I’ve never used it. Partly cos it’s not my job to use it and partly cos using it for my own reasons rather than professional reasons would see me join the list

Must admit, if I had access to the PNC I wouldnt be able to stop myself havin a nosy around any records kept on people I know, its just human nature I think.

Anyway, what sort of police officer needs to go looking? Our station is a brilliant source of gossip, so much so that if you let a discreet fart go into the sponge in the chairs in the canteen (it has an absorbing effect, great for saying to people ‘I’m just going, do you want to sit here?’) people will find out who did it when it gets released

    Jeez!

Whatever happened to integrity in a public office

I work for the NHS, I COULD look at patient records of people I know- ailments, medical history etc

I don’t – why? Cos its plain and simple wrong!

Human nature doesnt come into it- standards of right and wrong do!

Slayer, I love reading medical reports, I spend hours on them at work.

The shock is not what the ailments/injuries/illness’s are, but the extortionate cost, its ridiculous!

But its never out of the want to spread rumour, just sheer nosyness cos I am a nosy bugger!

I wouldnt even read my daughters diary let alone something about someone else

Am I missing out here?
