It’s a new world out there
8 May, 2006 at 1:38 pm #125747how can the memories of a loved one stay
many years after they have left us
eleven years have hurried by
and yet it seems only a fraction of timesands in the hourglass continue to flow
just as life continues regardless
and yet your face is still imprinted
albeit blurred around the edgesgrief is a funny thing, they say time heals all
but they dont tell you that the pain lingers on
it turns up without fail year after year
to remind us of what we have losti am glad that peace found you
you whose soul was as tortured as mine
you were a bright star whose light shone brightly
for a brief moment in timethe pain of grief i feel now only serves to remind me
so that i never forget what you meant
and i shall raise a glass to you tonight
and smile through my tears.for andrew, 11 years gone but never forgotten. xx

16 May, 2006 at 2:24 am #125750My heads a million pieces
Scattered on the floor
Like a lost forgotten jigsaw
With the pieces missingI sit in my reverie day after day
A pointless cerebral event
Amorphous pieces of nonsense
That have no placeSitting on the verge of a breakdown
One day I’m whole, the next in pieces
Analyze me, complete me or maybe just
Defeat me, and take away this jigsaw feeling.21 May, 2006 at 8:08 pm #125751Endlessly

I know I’m not alone in saying that you are a very fine poet indeed :) .. Like myself, Poshy is a great fan of your work – and just tonight we had a grand little chat about just how talented you are :) .. Your poems are thoughtful and extremely well put together. I am particularly impressed with how your final lines always pack quite a punch.. Always seem to challenge the very perspective of what has gone on before. The curious tragi-irony of your most recent “A dream” being a most wonderful example!Looking forward to more…
