a million images form dancing behind closed lids
frost covered meadows crisp underfoot
beautiful sunsets watching lovers kiss
dark peaceful places dreaming of lightin the darkness they are a sanctuary
a haven of tranquility, safe and comforting
i close my eyes and i feel the warmth
of a million images dancing behind closed lids16 November, 2005 at 7:57 pm #125716there is a certain chill in the air
that hints of the ghosts of autumn
lingering as if not wanting
to leave their homei shiver in the cold breeze
as the sun seems to melt
into an almost frozen ground
leaving a shadow of autumn behindthe once azure sky has turned ashen
as the season changes
promising storms that cleanse the air
ready for springthe silver moon shines down
on natures landscape whispering
i shall be your guiding light
until the sun awakes from slumberit is at times like this
when simply breathing is not enough
you want to reach out and feel
natures rhythmic heartbeats for yourself.22 November, 2005 at 1:45 pm #125717cotton wool head muffles all thoughts
an unseen sea pounds against my temples
pin picks of light burning my eyes
heavy and too tired to stay opentraffic congestion in my nose
making me gasp struggling for breath
exhaust waste streams
into sodden tissuesone flu over the cuckoos nest
the film of which im the star
no nurse rachett with medicine
so i huddle under the coverstoast your marshmallows on my brow
and tell scary stories of germ warfare
whilst i share my coughs and sneezing
anecdotes with you all.anyone want a dose of flu??
24 November, 2005 at 6:49 am #125718between the breeze and the dew
the morning is made tranquil
behind my curtain i hide
so as not to disturb the peacebirds sing to their loved ones
calling them to eat
flowers raise their sleepy heads
and greet the rising sunfrost covered hills shake off
their blankets of white
deserted roads with no one in sight
and yet voices can still be heardsoon the humdrum of life will begin
with its pollution and noise
and the beauty of morning
shall be forgotton.24 November, 2005 at 1:29 pm #12571924 November, 2005 at 4:18 pm #125720:shock:
10 December, 2005 at 6:14 pm #125721half of my life is gone and i have let
the years slip away from me and yet
not fulfilled my life’s ambitions
the aspirations of my youth to
build a tower of accomplishments
some higher ideal that would set
me apart from the humdrum
of everyday mortal lives
i look upon the city of my youth
lying below me in all is vastness
with its dim lit streets and
smoking chimney stacks
and i hear the faint sound
of life pass me by13 December, 2005 at 7:18 am #125722sitting here in the morning
under a sky filled with stars
i surrender to the darkness
in spite of the early hour
you are not here
you the impossible one
but it is not such a loss
barbed wire passions cut too deeply
but excite me nonetheless
but the moon
the beauty of the silvery light
i could fall in love with it
feel the kiss of the earth
and feel the beating of my heart
with all its sour splendour
i could look into my thoughts
and unravel a million poems
like a ball of twine15 December, 2005 at 5:49 am #125723fifteen years ago today
i held you in my arms
you had sunlight for your hair
and sapphires for your eyes
and an air about you
clear, pure and fresh
your laughter was my sunshine
you tears were my rain
and id relive every moment
just to hear them once again
you will never truly know
the joy that i have felt
because of the memories you’ve given
and the love for you i’ve keptfor my little girl
20 December, 2005 at 10:04 am #125724how like spring is a newly loved heart
fresh and light with new buds
waiting to form from words
spoken by the sunhow like summer is a heart that endures love
warmth feeds its passions
allowing it to bloom into some rare
and exotic orchidhow like autumn is a heart in pain
it withers and dies slowly
like leaves on a tree
waiting to fallhow like winter is a lonely heart
it knows no sunlight nor warmth
without warmth it turns to ice
bitterly cold and lifeless. -
