Poetry Threat (well ok thread!) mark 2

this is my own poem one of those i write reflecting life, usually when I;ve had too much to drink and its been a kind of funny or bad day xxx

Who am I, just who,
who do I think I am
You know who I am?
I am me and I am here always for all to see

for all to see what I am
I am me just what you see
or am I?

life is very short you know
you dont beleive it when you are young
beleive me I know
but I my friend am not gonna dwell on what might have been
I am just gonna be , just me , as you all have seen

I am not sure what this life is all about
oh god is she drunk I hear you all shout
lol yes is the answer , i cannot tell a lie
but i will sober up by n by

u know what you lot out there
i do enjoy chatting thats why I am here
to make freinds and socialise
so many people so little time

but my freinds if your path I have crossed
remember theres a reason , a reason to have met
the reason may not always be clear, but yet
theres definately i reason you know and so do I , i bet

so now this rhyme that makes no sense
will end just here and in the past tense

I like this cath,
It does not matter in my mind how you ‘got’ here to write these words the fact that you did meant it was the right time to put them together.

My mind is confused as my emotions are too
the world is going mad , but thats nothing new
people dont give other real time
no one ever stops no love no rhyme
hey buddy can u just stop n spare some time?

that one moment in your busy life
the one you rush around day after day full of trouble and strife
get urself back here and slow down just a tad
you’ll find after all life aint that bad

money????oooo no thats not really what i want
i want u to stop or at least slow down
i want u to stop an wear a smile not a frown
to see ur eyes glad and look properly at life

i tried this morning to count all the sounds
as i stood in the garden in my own grounds
the birds with all their different calls
the kids next door playin ball

Listen to all around you ,
cos one day my freind u may need someone to listen too
if only tis someone fer u to talk at
no silly not next doors cat
although sometime some people i’ve met
might as well have been talkin to meself and yet
im not altogther really that sure
that i shudda been just talkin to the door

some real time fer me some real time fer you
tis a scarce resource, you know that ,i know u do,
the life on fast forward without a backward glance
an u let it go , u had yer chance

you never lost you gained,
you gained time in your life where a person boldy stayed
stayed with you in your heart, and love blossomed,
love blossomed so you both could share
a love so deep , so very rare,
that love is there and will stay with you still
no one can take that and no one will
it will stay in that piece of your heart
you both held so dear right from the start,
it will stay with you forever more
no dear mims not lost but won with love still at your door xxxxxxx

to those who cry, to those who’s teardrops fall silently
for those of you who cry real tears, real tears like me
those tears you cry for those known and unkown
the sadness that cuts you to the very bone
there is hope out there somwhere i know
when i cry my tears i know they wont last , they will go,
along with the hurt, the pain and the sorrow
so beleive me my freinds, the sun will shine tommorow xxx
