Its nice to just get away from it all.Ive hit a block at the moment and im restless.
You know those nights where you just lay there for hours in the dark thinking about things.
We always tend to think about the worst that can happen and it rarely does.Maybe im lonely in my mind, funny how you can feel lonely when your surrounded by people.I shall listen to some music and then try to sleep xThe scriabin op 40 number 2 by pizarro should do the trick.
26 October, 2011 at 7:50 am #480765Woke up early this morning and im all ready to go out to work.I hope the weather holds off today as its looking gloomy.Theres a south african nurse staying at the house for a week starting tonight, apparently her names toto.
I wonder if she will last longer than the estonian anaesthetist who at 6ft 6 was complaining the bed wasnt big enough for him,so only lasted 2 nights.
Shes in the next room to me so i hope as well as bringing some biltong, which ive yet to try, she doesnt snore.x26 October, 2011 at 7:35 pm #480766Hang on i got it wrong, sorry its tola.Rather colourful lady who would cheer up any ward in hospital.
My sister has asked me to light the fireworks at her party again this year, i dont like doing it but she thinks i do.I remember last year standing next to a firework with burnt fingers and thumbs getting soaked while the rest of them were in the house looking out of the window.
The forecast tomorrow is for rain so i will head out for the day somewhere.Theres lots of nice antique shops around this area so i will try my luck.
My feet are killing me tonight, and there big feet to kill, they tend to be smaller in the summer. x26 October, 2011 at 11:15 pm #480767I hope the weather was kind to you today.
Did Tola bring any biltong though? And is she short enough to fit into the bed or will she go the same way as the Estonian?
I detest fireworks, I’d be in the house looking out of the window regardless of what the weather was doing! In some ways the fireworks of today seem tamer than the ones of my childhood, yet they’re much much louder…once again I shall stay in with my cat and tell anyone who asks I can’t come to their party or the organised display as I need to keep her calm whilst in reality it’s the other way around.
Tonight I progressed from one stalker to two; it’s a little concerning as they are getting quite brazen. Until today they have kept their distance and hidden behind bushes but now they are coming up to the front door or the side gate and I really hope they don’t try to come beyond that point, it will be most unsettling if they do. I am, of course, talking about the neighbour’s two 7 month old kittens that I’m feeding while they are away on holiday. Kitkat and Crunchie…what names to have to call out when it’s their supper time!
27 October, 2011 at 12:55 am #480768Tola will get a piece of biltong around her head if she keeps opening and closing drawers and chatting on her mobile this time of night.Bring back the estonian, he was big but quiet.
The weather was wonderful today, the gloom disappeared to blue skies with fluffy clouds.Finished around 6.15pm just as is was getting dark.
Ive contacted the police about your stalkers, i have a feeling they might be thin and cosy in cat uniforms, dont feed them or let them in the house.
I was thinking about candles today and how years ago they were a necessity when the country was on a 3 day week with the power cuts.I remember putting a candle by the lampshade and it caught alight, within seconds my dad was running in the bedroom naked to put it out.Dont ask me with what.
Could i order a large red candle with a certain sadness written on it please, to be delivered to me at your earliest convenience.
Do you have a catalogue i can browse through? Im feeling drawn towards voodoo and maybe requiring your products.
Look forward to your next correspondence.xPS please let me sleep tola
27 October, 2011 at 10:09 am #480769I imagine sitting in the warm sun reading this journal… publish!!! Haha
I’m tracking this…
27 October, 2011 at 2:56 pm #480770How long did Tola keep you awake in the end? Funny, most men don’t complain too much when a woman keeps them awake…then again they’re usually in the same room.
The police must have had a word…the stalkers didn’t stalk me this morning, or at least if they did then they were very surreptitious about it. 2 more days and their family will be back and I’ll stop being the focus of their attention – I hope!
Oh the power cuts…all the family in one room, with several layers and our coats on; I went to warm my hands on the flame of a candle and burnt a hole in my gloves. Then going to bed, getting under the blankets and putting our coats on top, waking up in the night with cold noses.
I’ve asked the master candle carvers to look into your request and they commented on the number of letters involved. Would you prefer small script on a standard candle, or a more conspicuous script on a larger candle? Do you have a preferred font? And must it be red wax all the way through or can it be a dipped candle? Scented or unscented? Sorry to bamboozle you with questions, many think that a candle is a candle but there is so much more to it than that.
I regret to advise that I don’t have a catalogue as the items we stock are constantly changing. I find that many of our customer prefer to choose in person as they like to touch and feel the product before purchase, such is the spiritual (or cynical) shopper.
Further to our previous and more private correspondence, it kept me quite busy this morning and I hope the results are satisfactory. I look forward to your thoughts on the results. xx
P.S. Given your previous history with candles, I wonder whether it might be better to start with some incense first? Far less of a safety hazard. Unless of course you advise me that you have a responsible adult to supervise, in which case I will simply enclose our standard safety guidance.
27 October, 2011 at 4:13 pm #480771Dear madam jen x
Tola was drugged and asleep by 2.
Thank you for you reply regarding the candle.Im looking at page 11 of my wiccapedia book of spells and it says the candle must be dipped. The lettering must be of at least 18ct gold with a scent of wild berry and apple crumble.I hope that helps.
Im sorry you dont have any catalogues left so have decided to use your website to order my materials on Jens juju.net.I see the 8 inch african doll in nurses uniform and a bag of 25 pins would be ideal. Please accept the cheque i have forwarded to cover costs.I have also read the safety guidance leaflet you kindly sent, but will be robed in black silk for the ceremony so hopefully i should be safe.
I have just received your private correspondence through the post and will be replying straight after this letter.
I took a drive to devizes today and had a wander around the shops. The antiques arcade has now closed so i seeked solace in greggs with a sweet chilli chicken sandwich and steak bake.
I did manage to find a most wonderful bookshop there and promptly leapt through the doors for an hours browse.
The journey back was a treat, through the rolling hills and farmland of the downs and then through your favourite village of avebury past the stones.Usually you can find someone roaming about with their hands on the stones, but today was all quiet.
I feel a sense of relief today too as something has finally ended. x27 October, 2011 at 9:16 pm #480772Oh dear. I must ask you to desist from calling me madam, in public at least. I can’t tell you how much I blushed at the correspondence received as onlookers assumed that I offered a different kind of service. I tried to be assertive in putting them right, but that just seemed to reinforce the misunderstanding, they thought I was being coy. I don’t think I’m ready for a career change just yet though, no matter how lucrative it might appear on the surface. Maybe something to bear in mind for my later years.
Anyway, back to your correspondence.
I’m afraid I have had to severely reprimand some of my master candle carvers. They seem to have used poetic licence and come up with a purple candle which they thought was more in keeping with the wild berry aroma. On the second attempt there was just too much cinnamon in the crumble, and on the third attempt they thought they’d have a bit of fun with your name. I have now taken responsibility for carving the candle myself and as way of recompense I have used 24ct gold. I do hope you find that satisfactory. As for the 8inch african doll in nurses uniform, I’m afraid that I sold the last one first thing this morning. I have taken the liberty to send you a substitute. I do hope that the 6inch chinese doll in french maid outfit is a suitable alternative. You’ll notice that as well as the 25 pins, she also comes with her own feather duster made of genuine phoenix feathers. I do appreciate that this might be a slight disappointment to you initially but I hope that you will consider keeping her, along with the complimentary 100% natural organic vegan gluten and nut free sleeping draught. Just a few drops each night and I can assure you that Tola will no longer be of trouble to you.
I’ve had a busy day with several visitors all wishing to sample my wares; they all left quite happy with their experience in my little establishment. This evening was a little different to previous evenings this week though. My stalkers followed me home again, once again as brazen as could be, until the very last minute when they stopped, looked at me, did a little twirl and ran in the opposite direction! I can only assume that they are in cahoots with dark forces and that the salt circle I put around my home scared them off…thank you for reminding me about wiccapedia, I’d forgotten what a wealth of knowledge it contained. Of course there is the added advantage that I no longer have slugs and snails lurking just outside the door waiting for an unsuspecting high-heeled boot to tread on them. I must remind my partner to be more careful when he leaves home in the morning.
P.S. re your previous comment about feet, the foot-shrinking spell on page 268 of wiccapedia really does work. I’d suggest not using it as an excuse to wear high-heeled boots though…
28 October, 2011 at 6:10 am #480773HaHa! I would love to see pictures of those little stalkers :D
