Flipping hilarious….it’s ok to do this it’s ok to do that …as long as it’s this and as long as it’s that….if you’re new its not ok if you’re a reg its ok its not ok….being sarcastic to a newbie isn’t ok but to a reg it’s fine….
Turns out Martin isn’t new to message boards and decided to leave as he possibly saw the same thing might happen as it did previously to him…he decided to give a reason rather than just leave…
You can never do the right thing Martin in the land of JC….even though it is right for you and was in your opinion the right thing to do….someone will always “know” you better even though they don’t know you at all and tell you otherwise

As I said previously….be happy xx

and, tinks, the trouble with the agenda is we need someone like Terry around. The guy was inwardly seething all the time, and his UKIP views were totally unacceptable. You could have a real hammer-and-tongs battle, and there would be no kiss and make up for kenty to join, but even so he was the guy everybody loved to hate, and we all miss him :(

Panda was quite a character too earlier this year, but then she fell in lurve…with Terry of all people Gawd’ – EastEnders storyline peeps, you should have been here.

As issues arise, I might stick something up, but let’s see if there’s a response. It would be very discouraging to think of a post and either have it ignored, or the reaction be so tepid that it fizzles out pretty quickly.

I keep thinking of leaving this place, but would miss cosy’s sly humour and tinks’s misplaced mails, not to mention hopes of kenty’s kisses, so will hang around, much to the annoyance of the majority.

He was passionate about what he believed in and the way he wanted to discuss things I guess Skep…..He always backed up his arguments from whatever source be it right or wrong….and that right or wrong would be someone elses opinion…..its key to accept an opinion on somthing that isn’t factual…that doesn’t mean you are compromising your own beliefs…..Terry that is
As for leaving….lots of us don’t post for ages and ages and come and go, there is no need to make an announcement, as people do in the chat room too….no one cares who leaves who stays

The past tense reflected him being a poster who no longer posts

that’s a perceptive comment about Terry, Kenty. I hope he returns, and that he hasn’t lost his old fire.

I think the main problem about serious discussion is that most people are timid, and fear not being able to make their points clearly enough, or that they’ll run into ridicule. Ridicule can be a powerful weapon (like lurve) with which to dominate an argument, and I can use it too when I feel the need to deflate someone.

Best to just mix it and not get too involved, I guess.

But Brits find it hard to have a serious discussion. Easier to shout past one another.

I quite agree. I often don’t get into serious discussions because I usually only know the fluffly top layer stuff. That’s not to say I would like to reply sometimes but I don’t. Like on the boards sometimes, when you cleverer guys are discussing somthing…there maybe a small bit where I would like to have a say but I don’t because quite frankly I probably would collapse if it was fired back at me with a question 8-[
As for shouting past one another…ain’t that the truth
FO is commonly used, or should I say used by a commoner.
