Very topical subject, since a leaked report is stating we should work till we’re at least 67 and pay higher taxes to contribute for the pensions downfall :( if the governement didn’t waste millions upon millions on tragic things like the millenium dome and such fore, we may be able to actually enjoy falling asleep in our armchairs when we reach retirement age.
Just wondering if ther’es any sensible ones amongst us who have made plans for there retirement?….I haven’t got a pension and I was 34 last Sunday…..ooops the wife has quite a lucrative one though since she works for the NHS I’m hoping she’ll be bale to keep me :lol: I’m, also putting a lot of faith in one of my kids becomming rich, so they can look after me in my old age, I’ve changed soooo many dirty nappies over the last 13 years or so, surely one of them deserves to clean my bottom in 40 years time….ahhh revenge is sweet…smelly but sweet :lol:
I have one pension that I’m currently paying into called a stakeholder pension…its a good deal with your company paying a hefty amount in too. I also have a pension that was put on hold when I changed jobs 4 years ago… I’ll be lucky to get pocket money from that one :roll:
ooo forgot to say I’m 38
I work in the NHS too and its a great pension… I pay 6% a month, they pay 5%, been paying it since day one, which is now 12 years. If I remain with that hell hole then Im gonna have a great pension when the day comes. Also have an endowment policy too. Bring on the rainy day I say :lol: :lol: :lol:
I know i should start one, but i dont have enough money to put aside each month now i do not have a lodger.
The company i work for does not have schemes to help us. :roll: :evil:
I just save a little each month into my emergency fund. (Which is now empty after the latest whoopsie in my car) *sigh*
i’m the same, my company does very little for a pension, though i am hoping still to get a job in the near future at the health and safety plant up the road from me, these offer great pensions
money has never worried me in life, i don’t think it ever will till its too late

hopefully i don’t make it to old age. i have no pension sorted, but what are the government gonna do just leave me freeze and starve huh.
No pension. I’m moving to India or Thailand when I’m a little older! :wink:
