STAND UP PEOPLE
I do not like the smell of onions cooking, my best friend Vinoid, will not go into Long John Silvers cos she can’t stand the smell of fish and chips………….I got pulled up at work for stating that..if she hadn’t stood by me I would have had a mark on my record.
DO NOT LET THEM DO IT TO US! This doesn’t start from the top..it doesn’t matter who you voted for…………it begins with us………..we can make a difference!
PCness makes people suck it up..they don’t say but still think it………. stronger!!!
THAT’S NOT GOOD!

Title: HAS THE GAP BANNED ‘CHRISTMAS’?
The latest battlefront in the annual “war on Christmas” has fallen into the Gap, so to speak, as clothing giant Gap Inc. is accused of silencing the word “Christmas” in stores and many of its commercials.
“Gap, which owns Old Navy, Banana Republic, Forth and Towne and Piperlime, has become the latest politically correct retailer, intentionally censoring the use of ‘Christmas’ in their in-store, online and printed advertising,” said Donald Wildmon, founder of the American Family Association.
Everything is holiday.’ Gap wants you to do your Christmas shopping with them, but they don’t want to mention the Reason for the season. Gap doesn’t want to offend non-Christians by using Christmas. The fact that their censoring the use of Christmas might offend Christians seems to be of no importance.”

When I say Merry Christmas to the clerk are they not allowed to say it back?

13 December, 2006 at 6:05 pm #253144I say we bin xmas all together, it has become far to commercial. It’s just pathetic. Christmas is about one day of the year, yet the build up to it is 3 months long. They never have a built up 3 months long for my birthday. So i say bin it, and just let people celebrate it their own way. :D
13 December, 2006 at 7:16 pm #253145I remember hearing about 15 years ago, a growing number of people were celebrating xmas on January 25th, makes sense given the january sales, which dont kick in till late january early feb now. Jan 25th is also scotlands Burns night.
The decision to celebrate jesus birthday on december the 25th, was a spitefull attack upon a good group of people who did not harm a soul.
“historically, all Christian churches celebrated Christ’s birth on January 6th until the fourth century. According to Roman Catholic sources, the date was changed from January 6th to December 25th in order to override a pagan feast dedicated to the birth of the Sun which was celebrated on December 25th. At the time Christians used to continue their observance of these pagan festivities. In order to undermine and subdue this pagan practice, the church hierarchy designated December 25th as the official date of Christmas and January 6th as the feast of Epiphany”.
