Right here we go. Last Friday and Saturday, my pc suddenly turned it,s self off. This turned out to be it overheating. I,ve cleaned it all thoroughly and it,s not making any noise now and all seemed well, until today.
Firstly I,ve lost my address bar completly. If I put my pointer at the top of the page, some of it comes back but not all. Also when I,m online my task bar vanishes. Another thing that happened was every time I used the scroll wheel, it increased and decreased the text size, (although it isn,t doing it now).
Then when I clicked on the “my computer” icon on my desktop a web page appeared, and when I clicked on Internet Explorer, it came up with “my computer” instead.
Any ideas before I throw the poxy pile of junk into next doors pond? I,m loosing the will to live. FFS.  :evil:10 March, 2008 at 8:00 pm #317064If you are using windows XP or Vista, have you tried ‘system restore’?. You will find it in >programs>accessories>system tools

I havn,t broken it, YET, it,s the bloody poltergeists. The same ones that took my jim jams, bastards. I,ve stuck a label on the front that reads, “Pile of junk”. :evil:11 March, 2008 at 5:39 pm #317068It’s your registry; you have mucked it up again.
Basically there a small program on your computer that tells it what to when you hit stuff, you have changed it.
You need to find cave to hide in and stop using computers without “Mummy” watching you.
