Thank you Rainy. There are people in this world who just arn,t happy unless they have something to whinge about. Classic example is the thorny issue of the ignore button. They have it, but they don,t use it, yet if we took it away, they,d moan because they didn,t have it. :roll:
The question is – are they whinging as it’s not what they expected it to be? Did they expect bells/whistles and for it to make them a cup of tea while they waited? I’m sure if there are any problems Martin and Charles expected it – it’s just i do not think the vast majority of users did and now they have something to whinge about they come around in their droves without a hint of constructive thought. Shock! (i could have bet money on it) If Martin sat on his bum any longer then nobody would have a chat room in a few months by the looks of things… so people should be greatful…. and oh my gosh…. have to be patient.

I heard on the grapevine today that goodgirl, who owns the lovely goodchat, is being allowed, (allegedly) to keep the “old format” and doesn,t have to upgrade if she doesn,t want too. :roll:
Ok we all know what’s been going on, people from other sites have always been coming into the room and promoting there own chat sites.
Its been going on for years.
But this week the numbers of people looking for something new has been high.
Some of the sites have been handing out staff jobs like UGO with a bag of sweets in a school playground to keep them.
This new java program has and is causing so many problems I can see why they’re leaving.
I did look at the new licensing rules for the old software, it seems we could have kept the old site if it was “register users only”.
The turn over of users on the site has always been high; people come and go all the time.
The site needs to sort out the access problems and start doing more.
Perhaps you could help us all out DOA by continuing to hand out the URL for all these other chatsites to your friends ….. and take them there with you.

Nope I am much happier handing out URL’s to anyone who asked.
I don’t see this has a site up grade more like a reason to clean out all the moaning minneys from forums.

I think i’m still on there… not that i post much but i keep up to date with one user who used to be around JC a lot.
It a harmless site imho.
And so the whinging continues. I,ve had users moaning today about not having forum tracking any more, about the red text that goes across the screen to tell users about genuine staff always appearing in green. They whinged about the red text that shows when users enter and leave the room: “why can, it be in different colours?” was one moan and: “why do we have to have it all?” was another. And why can,t we have it back the way it was, was yet another. One user pointed out that there was a great site they go too, (not goodchat) that is the same as JC, was. When I asked why she wasn,t there its because apparantly it,s empty. :roll: Roll on more whinging tomorow. :roll:
