we always got defoe, who is playing pretty well at the moment
owen will be fit for the world cup though, might be in his favor and englands faver, as he would be fresh, along with match practice behind him
Think he should be safe for the world cup, though would be more worried if it was Rooney- he’s the forward most teams will fear the most during next summer I feel. Which works well in our favour as that should take the pressure off Owen to do what he does- score goals.
I believe this is the 4th Engald player in 18 months to break their meta tarsal? (Rooney, Beckham, Owen and one other!!)- there are several theories on the causes of this around the new studs (the blade ones) and the light weight boots which offer less protection than the thick cow hides I used to play in?
