I thought I would share this with you….. there are still nice people around.
Yesterday I decided to get the pressurised water blaster thingy out and clean some paths around the house to remove mud and moss etc. Anyway I got it all out and set it up only to find the blaster bit wasn’t working ( you know the bit with the trigger)
Off I went to B&Q to buy a new blaster bit, I searched the shelves and could not find one… anyway a guy who worked there asked me what I was looking for, turns out the make I had does not make replacements and you have to buy a whole new blaster… Grrrr.
The guy was very sweet though, he said look I finish my shift in 5 minutes I have one in my garage you can have! I followed him in his car and sure enough he presented me with exact thing I needed. I was so pleased… he refused money for it too…. I will sneak back though and leave a nice bottle of wine on his step… I was so pleased, such kindness, some people are really nice!
I know people will look at this and think I’m boring… well tough… I like being boring!

There are a lot more nice people in the world practising acts of kindness than people realise, but the trend seems to be to focus on the negatives of life. Should I start putting up the acts of kindness I see every day I wonder? Or would people get bored? What do you think?
In the shop I sell crystal heart necklaces. A simple heart in rose quartz, amethyst and so on, on a cotton thong, relatively inexpensive and popular with all ages.
I have a customer who is in her 80s, every week she comes in and we have a chat about life, the Universe and everything. Every week she buys 3 or 4 of these necklaces and a while back she told me that she hangs them from her pot plants, mirrors and curtain poles. Now I’ve been open for almost 3 years, and every week without fail she buys more, so I joked with her the other day that her house must be full of crystals now and that she had more than I did, I knew where to come if I ran out, and she said
“oh no dear, I’ve don’t use them for that any more. Do you want to know what I do with them? Well I take them off the card and wrap them in tissue paper and carry them around in my handbag. When I see someone who looks a bit down and looks like they need a bit of kindness, I just dip into my bag and give them a heart. It’s nice to bring a bit of light into peoples lives isn’t it?”I slipped an extra one in her bag, and I probably will each week now. It’s nice to bring a little light into peoples lives isn’t it? :wink:

This is so funny you have to take a peek apparently sheep can be quite aggressive if they think they have the upper hand – they stamp their feet and gang up in numbers and act like an army. OOPPs sounds a bit like JC :D
I cannot even pretend to be happy.. but for my childrens sake i HAVE too..as I cannot tell them. good god Im down, and this time its not bi-polar.My face aches with smiling..my throat is all swollen with laughing.
But then again I shall be reminded about self -pity and folks who pretend to die.
So i shall buck my ideas up..fight,fight sing sing..and remind ya all. I am here to stay.
