12 August, 2008 at 3:16 pm #361488Your better off poping it all on a DVD, there cheap and faster to load in.
Most DVD’S hold about 4GD and I’m sure if you use 2, (one for music and one for other stuff), it will work out ok.
12 August, 2008 at 4:20 pm #361489Thanks DOA but Im not cleverer enough to use DVD’x unless Im copying DVD’s. I dont know the first thing about saving files to external sources other than my phone for music, but thats filled up now to.
Oh to be techy like you. 8)

errrrr pop a dvd in the draw
Start the program, on mine its NTI CD and DVD maker
Follow the on screen instusion.
Have a look at “my programs” on your computer and see what you have.
You can buy DVD’s in a 3 pack from Tesco’s for about £2
12 August, 2008 at 4:37 pm #361491okeydokey, now you’ve broken it down for me into a rather simplistic format I will give it a shot. Ive a stack of DVD’s waiting to be filled with something interesting, so once again thankyou. 8)

12 August, 2008 at 9:16 pm #361494Right. Thanks to DOA’s sound advice about using DVD’s and me having hundreds of the disks hanging around from my knock off nigel days, Ive managed to save everything… music, pics, vids, drivers, docs to dvd’s, so Ive had a necessary amount of lubricant to say Im logging off everywhere and formatting my hard drive.
Back soon dudes… wish me luck!
if you dont hear from me in 24 hours catch me via email/facebook/phone/myspace etc… i may need help and I have those all on my phone…… if I dont feck that up along the way!
see ya’s xxx  8)
(glad to hear your cat seems okay so far sian x) 8)
12 August, 2008 at 11:33 pm #361495the advantage of online storage is that you can access it from any pc
the disadvantage is, its not as secure as a back up CD or external source, also it can take a while to upload (downloading however should’nt be a problem)
as for sites, the best ones are not free, you pay for the services, if you’re looking for a really good free one, then you won’t find one if you wanting to store lots of data
however for your needs, i would have said your best option would be just to partition your hard drive… I myself keep my documents, things i need in one partition and the operating system along with application data on another, so when it comes to a format, my work is easily saved without the worry of having to transfer it from place to place
