He won’t break Michael Johnson’s world record of 19.32 but will win and run exceedingly fast in doing so. Maybe around 19.5…..
This guy is the star of the Games; everything about him is outrageous, his size and turnover for such a tall man, the way he play-acts before racing Olympic finals……..even now he’s mucking about on the warm-up track pretending to be injured for the cameras and laughing his head off.
No disrespect to Phelps, but they do tend to hand out medals in swimming like confetti.
And later this week we have the men and women’s relays too, where all the impressive Jamaicans will shine. There are some questions about the regularity of drug-testing when OUT OF COMPETITION and the degree of commitment by the Jamaican authorities to WADA initiatives. I really hope there isn’t a shadow hanging over any of this, but it’s always in the back of peoples minds given the previous Ben Johnson and Marion Jones scandals.
