Is Looking For Her Lost Marbles Has Anyone Seen Them
:Pthis thread takes me back to the good old days
a few years back me and my mates rallied against the abhorrent activities we were drifting into
drinking,fighting,pulling slappers,throwing cones at random passers by,etc
so we formed our own club called the proverb partypoopers
and so every saturday night we used to stay in,drink lashings,and lashings of tizer,feast on pease pudding spread on ryvita
and try and twist the words of old sayings into something modern
heres one i remember
dont count your crabs before they scratchaaah those were the days.
Another one i use alot is if the wind changes your face will stay like that
and put ya bottom lip in concorde is looking to land :)two more that i have found myself using today
dont put all ure eggs in one basket
and dont count ya chickens before they hatchI’d not heard this one before, but I was flicking through a book in the ‘survival handbook’ series for parenting and at the back it had a list of parental phrases to learn…
You know, phrases like, “Because I said so” and “Life isn’t fair”.
There was a new one in there that I liked, “Too bad, so sad.” Has anyone heard of that one? I’m definitely keeping that in the memory bank.

I have not! Recommended?
I wouldn’t rush out and buy it….but it’s watchable. There are parts of it which are too jokey and dumbed down in order to keep the film rating down
I only watched Van Helsing to perv at Hugh Jackman in a loin cloth lol.
Good,film though.Another saying for kids Martin: don’t do as I do do as I say. And: if you keep,pulling that face and the wind changes your face will stick like that.
Most important word for kids to learn is… NO. Don’t give in to tantrums and breath holding either. Just let em get on with it. They’ll soon stop if they get no reaction.
