It has been announced that the Old Firm game on 2nd January has now been postponed as a mark of respect.
Can’t say I disagree with the decision, I love the Old Firm games but there’ll be many fans who just wouldn’t be fully into the game.
It’s things like this guys premature death that shows what a cruel world we live in, good chaps like this fella die, and parasites like Fastcars and Geoff still roam the earth.

I dunno. Yes let’s have the Motherwell-Celtic game , etc off at the weekend. Let’s have Motherwell games off until the players feel they are ready.
I think the Old Firim game should have gone ahead though.
It’s the flagship fixture, and it would have helped everyone get it out of their system quicker.I believe a minutes silence or a minutes applause for Phil would have been enough On Wednesday, and everyone would have been back to Football for the day.
phill probably would’nt have wanted games to be postponed, also nobody would.. If someone died where I work also, we would still be expected to come to work, footballers need toughening up a bit sometimes, to cancel the game of the team he plays for… there is some point in that, but he did’nt play for celtic or rangers..
anyway, yes a sad day, my aunties neighbour also died, he is’nt in the papers
My great uncle died last boxing day – wasn’t big news but that’s the world we live in.
Anyway, very respectful day all round in Scottish football. Brawls, verbal use from and to the fans, red cards and allegations of racism. Might as well have been the Old Firm game.
