Is almost upon us, after this stupid f***ing friendly which personally I couldn’t give a rat’s arse about is done.
I think Celtic are due a win, they haven’t won in four (if my memory serves me correctly) and it would blow the title race even further open than it is now. But Rangers, I think, have the edge in that they have a lot of personnel at the club – from management to the players – who are Rangers through and through and that can’t be discounted. I wouldn’t describe either as being the ‘form team’ going into this one, good results but awful football!
It’ll also be interesting to see how many of the ‘injured’ Old Firm players who have pulled out of international duty are fit for Saturday.
25 March, 2008 at 6:32 pm #320615i cant wait should be a very good game must admit i dont follow the spl to much but always make a note of watching this fixture. have to agree with you about the friendly never seen so many “injurys” in one friendly but they are all fit by the weekend
25 March, 2008 at 6:42 pm #320616The atmosphere of the Old Firm – even on TV – is electric. And I’ll be honest too, as a Rangers fan, the Old Firm game is all that matters! I don’t mind dropping points here and there but NOT in this one!
Think it’s five call offs from Rangers and one from Celtic for Scotland and I think Scott McDonald has pulled out of the Australia squad (but that’s a qualifer, a game that actuallly matters more than the price of fish so shame on him!) and yep, they’ll most likely all play on Saturday. Except maybe Lee McCulloch.
25 March, 2008 at 6:59 pm #320617yeah have to agree with you about the atmosphear through the tv (never been live) no other game on tv like it except maybe a.c. vs inter. the old firm is even more exciting this year with it so close at the top what a job walter smith has done since his retern to rangers.
25 March, 2008 at 7:27 pm #320618On one hand, it is good to see that the Old Firm really matters this year, on another, I’d rather have a 15 point advantage
29 March, 2008 at 1:22 pm #320619So far so good, even though Celtic have been the better team. Thomson took his goal well but he’ll have to be careful as the ref’s in a silly bookings/inconsistent decisions sort of mood today. :D
29 March, 2008 at 1:39 pm #320620so a draw may give dundee hope?
