27 April, 2008 at 2:04 pm #332146Once again, it looks like some of the decisions are going to overshadow the result – not sure if I’d say it was a deserved win though – McDonald being offside for the first goal, the ref being inconsistent with his cards etc.
Good game nonetheless.
27 April, 2008 at 4:41 pm #332147The one thing I’ve noticed about the Scottish Premier League is that there are 92 English league teams who have the ability to win it.

It was certainly a deserved win. After half an hour Celtic took control, and controlled the rest of the game.
Going to be an interesting few weeks.

27 April, 2008 at 8:52 pm #332150Tell me something actor – how many teams are in the premiership? Now tell me how many of those 20 teams fight it out for the title and then tell me the difference between a two horse race in a 12 team league and a four horse race (infact not even) in a 20 team league that claims to be the best in the world.
It’s hardly ultra competitive from that point of view, is it?
Celtic took control after half an hour and controlled the rest of the game? Is that why it was 2-2 at half time?

Let me turn the question around and ask if you think either Celtic or Rangers would avoid relegation from the Premiership?
I think some team like Northampton Town for instance would be a giant in the Scots league. No offence.28 April, 2008 at 12:39 am #332153i think they would both be mid table if we was being honest,
however, turn it around again, if they were both in the prem, getting 25 millions a year just on tv revenue alone, and the attraction of the prem it self, i am sure they would bring better players to the club, making them a better team

You can control the game without being 5-0 up.
Have another look at McDonald’s 1st goal at this link John. From this angle if he was offside it wasnt by much. In fact was he offside at all or was the Rangers playing him onside?
