Apparently these are new style speed cameras, currently being tested in Nottingham…sneaky or what!

easy revenue isn’t it? ……………putting cameras that are almost covert up round every bend……..i guess they’d still have to roadsign that they are there.
This really is sneaky especially as they tell us in Yorkshire that cameras are there for safety not as revenue earners…. sort of invalidates that claim then if they are not even visible!

Safety will always be claimed over revenue….it soon became apparant they are good money earners….and probably the main reason more and more are about….cameras by law have to be visible..thats why when they were being painted grey lots of notices were invalidated and the cameras painted yellow
I don’t know what the situation is with this camera, I expect some sort of law has been passed to accomodate its new discreet presence
I don’t have a problem with speed cameras…when we speed we break the law…end of the day it’s quite simple…I got my first speeding ticket 2 yrs ago after 20 odd yrs of driving and i was absolutely livid…really went on and on about it…was so annoyed …even wrote back and demanded picture eveidence…asked where the markings were cos they weren’t the normal road markings…i didn’t have a leg to stand on…i broke the speed law plain and simple and took the points and paid the fine….took me ages to calm down over it i used to tell everyone i got my first speeding points blah blah blah……
But i realised of course it was my fault (still annoyed about it now ….can you tell? :lol: )good its about time, SPEED KILLS.
The police dont warn any other people when they brake the law so why should they say where speed cameras are?
If your own child gets killed by a speeding car would you really run over and say ah dont worry about it I know you werent warned about the camera so i understand why you didnt slow down.

Where I am, they hide speed camerars up trees! Good for them, I say. Except, everyone knows where they are. ‘cept tourists! :lol:
They have visible speed camera signs, and boxes, however, they also have cameras’ before and after the visible one’s – quite clever methinks! :wink:
Cameras were supposed to be a deterrent… they were supposed to educate us all to understand speed … to take notice and slow down. Whats the point of hiding them to catch people? as anc said the only people they catch going fast is people who don’t know they are there……. if they did know they were there they would be going slower.
