I reckon it was a good move dropping Beckham. Proof if proof was needed that reputation counts for nothing.

Everything
1 February, 2008 at 1:55 am #308135Beckham is’nt dedicated enough to play for his country, he chose the option of the american dream and earning mega loads of money, if he signed for a prem team, he would be in the team, he knows that
though i do beleive that most probably its down to his wife, what he does
as for Heskey, there is’nt many strikers who can do what he can do right now, its a good addition, will give more option, rather him then crouch.. though i see he is picked also
1 February, 2008 at 2:37 am #308136Capello scored against us many moons ago. It was a funny era, the Poles used to put circus entertainers in goal (although these days we call them “lehmanns”)
anyway yeah right like THATS all forgiven……………

And to think it took 99 caps and a decade to find that out!
1 February, 2008 at 12:22 pm #308139I’m meaning recently, when he left from spain to go to america, maybe he thought his england career was over already, he was still good enough to play in England, which would have boosted his chances of getting in the team, he decided not too
I still think however, when the american seasons kicks off again, and come the world cup qual’s again… he will get his cap.. wright phillips is’nt the player everyone thought he could be, he’s not strong enough nore has he got a final product… lennon, injurys have slowed him down… looking past these two guys, I can’t see many other options right now..

As far as we were all concerned including him his England career was over. He has admitted himself that that decision influenced his decision to go to USA.
I reckon its time to admit that we are not the team we aspire to believe we are. And take whatever we can get.
