Wow Sophia its so sad that our own tourist industry is cashing in. I must confess I was shocked to find flights cheaper than trains petrol etc up to our in laws in Newcastle its mad.
I just love the sun hence the travel plus I love to see new places and nothing will stop that. Very true re world war mentality that’s very true, it just struck me when seeing the three days of mourning in Russia for those poor victims, I am not sure which I see as the better ethos.
You did make me smile regarding the snow….so true!!!!

Quite a bit Gems. I will always slip in the odd few nights and head for Krakow in Poland, its my most fav place to visit. I am guilty of forgetting how many times over the years I have been, possibly more than 60 it always feels like home when I visit. Blonde one of our chatters is going sometime this year, I was able to send her loads of info and books which will help her see more etc and make better use of her time while she’s there. I have travelled all over Croatia and Slovenia ive stayed in Bosnia and was surprised how beautiful it was considering they were at war from 1992-95 with Croatia . I can honestly say I have never paid over £75 for my flights-the cheapest one was £45 return. I use airbnb or simply search rentals in the country I am visiting im very adventurous like that! no package holidays for me lol.

How lovely Soph I havent ever been to Krakow but my Mum has a couple of times and like you fell in love with it.
I lived in Paris for a while in my teens so have a real love for the city and did aid work in the nineties in Romania mainly Iasi so again have a real affinity with it and the people but I just love to travel and whilst doing the usual tourist destinations Spain ( my bessie live on the CdelS so there as much as poss) Florida, Tunisia, Greece blah blah I love to get off the beaten track and hopefully see more of the ‘real’ country. This year heading off the the Amalfi coast tho as havent had a hol for a couple of years having the daughters wedding last year and I really want to see Herculaneum and just veg out in the sun!

Sophia how do you manage to get such cheap flights.. do you book months in advance and if not what site do you use?
