October is babyloss awareness month.

My baby died. He has a name. His name is, <3 Dominic. <3 He was three weeks old when he died, He was a much wanted Son, Brother, Grandson, Cousin and Nephew. He was born the 30th March 1994 and was just 1 of the 17 babies that died in the UK that day.

Today another 17 babies will die; all the tragic victims of stillbirth or neonatal death. This statistic is showing no signs of decreasing and for every stillborn or neonatal death there is a family that is devastated following the loss of their baby.

These statistics are for the UK alone. Imagine how many baby’s die around the world in one single day. This is also just stillbirth and neonatal death and doesn’t take into consideration cot death and other illnesses!

I won’t ask you to share or copy and paste anything. All I ask is that you spare a thought for these families who lost a much wanted baby <3
