We used to have BT Broadband (wireless) that worked well but was expensive. We recently changed to O2 Broadband because it was cheaper (one third of the price) but it has been a great disappointment as it keeps losing its connection – like dozens of times a day. We’ve contacted the helpdesk several times, and although the staff have been helpful, nothing we’ve tried has improved the situation.
Searching Google, I could only find comments in praise of O2 Broadband, nothing critical, so I’m wondering if my experience of such appalling reliability is unusual.

There has been a lot of problem with mobile phone companies offering broadband.I think the worst one is orange. (There were feature has the worst in BBC’s watch dog last year.)
The problem is once you have sign a contract you are stuck with them for a year or have to pay to get out of it and they know it.
Do I have to sign a contract if I want O2 Broadband?
When you sign up to O2 Broadband, it’s for a minimum of 12 months. We’re not scared of commitment, and we think that’s long enough for us to get to know each other properly. We know that sometimes things change, so if you want to cancel after the first year it won’t cost you anything. All we ask is that you let us know in advance by giving us 30 days notice. We can’t imagine why you’d want to, but if you decide to end it sooner you’ll have to pay a disconnection charge.
The silly thing is that 02 and bt are the same company. You need to end this mess now and look for something better.
