and secondary to that,, yeah the ” give me 5 mins with the beasts” do nothing. I know people who work in prisons,they want the same too. as they have to bring them food etc.i think babies are picked on as they cannot report to their mummys. a feeling of power maybe? only in the Tracey connolly (baby p) case, she was as much of an instigator.
what i meant was , this seems like a true shock to the family..I am at the stage of my life.. maybe its the granny stage of weeping openly at this cruelty. god being almost 50 has played havoc with my emotions !ok im gonna say it.. and be dammed..
folks think more of animals than mere children these days !
i would rather save the life of some wee bairn, in a horrendos environment..

aye it does cath, but i knew damm fine well you really did not mean it that way.. Cath i lose sleep over it all. I am smug in the knowledge that my own grandson is safe, and admittedly quite spoilt. I actually went to my doctor during the baby p and a local trial .. I could not focus on life,without feeling pain of these babies.

I think what cath is saying is that when trust for male grownups has gone due to personal experience, the nightmare of placing your own children in a similar danger is always present. Trust is never regained completely when you know what things people are capable of.
Just give someone a gun with a bullet in it and put that bullet through his/her/their heads, its not that difficult, i’m sure there’d be many volunteers. The world has one or two less monsters in it whats wrong with that.

Pete….. you always say this. But it doesn’t solve anything does it. But, maybe you have a point. Get a vigilante group to wreak vengeance for society. Until they kill your brother, uncle, sister, friend by mistake.
No, we need a legal deterrant. Something stringent enough to make people think twice before they do things. I would like to see something along the lines of making the punishment fit the crime.
Failing that, what about branding? Legal castration?

My money’s also on this scumbag facing just manslaughter charges, there are no witnesses and he’s denying having had anything to do with her injuries or her death. The police are no doubt going to say, again!!, not enough evidence, as they did with the Baby P case, they couldn’t prove which one of them struck the killer blow and they were charged with manslaughter. 12 years maybe? of which he’ll serve 6 or 7, then be given a new identity and left to get on with the rest of his life, and maybe perhaps go on to do the same to someone elses child.
While I do feel some sympathy with the family, you have to ask yourself, why was this child known to social services, and were there signs that should have been looked out for, I spose they’re the only ones have to live with those now un-answerable questions.
I’m with eve on this one, 6′ x 6′ stone cell and locked up 23 hrs a day, added to which, no computers, no tv, no priveleges, nothing but time, time to think, and time to realise that this is their lot, for the rest of their natural lives. ](*,) can already hear the cries of ‘inhumane’ from the human rights brigade eh :roll:
