27 June, 2006 at 5:15 am #226449ok…so what if someone else was in that situation?…maybe they have contributed too…maybe it was a car accident that left them disabled…or an illness…what about them?…and maybe that single parent on benefits wasnt always in that situation…maybe prior to that they had a good job but circumstances forced them to give it up to look after young children….what about them?
27 June, 2006 at 9:47 am #226450The government’s moving forward on its’ biggest welfare reform for years, the consulation period on the green paper has just ended and it’s hoped it will have royal assent by July 2007.
If anyone is interested in what the future is for the benefit system, takling unemployment and caring for those who can’t work, it should only take you a few days to read the green paper
4 July, 2006 at 1:52 pm #226451Maybe the vote should be limited to members of the middle and upper classes, which would rule out most men called Kevin!!!!
