No Secrets, No lies……….
Or in other words the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me god.
Seems some are still very curious about my meetings with thin ice (thick shyte, thick slice) whatever you wish to call him.
Old, wrinkled, gin soaked, and rough as I am reported to be this is how it came about.
I met thin very briefly at a London meet (when I say briefly I mean for about 20 minutes) he came with Kenty who professed she had come with him as a ‘mate’. I remember saying to Kenty god what are you doing with him!
I was with Lovely Lady. Chele was there with Jimmy and started to slag off ForumHostLD not knowing who I was, Chele and I looked at each other and giggled. Jadey was there looking gorgeous and was very good fun, she had worked hard to make the meet a successful one and said how she loved LD (she didn’t know at the time who I was either).
A while later I admitted to who I was much to the disgust of Rob56, no one knew who I was for about 3 years but frankly what’s the big deal?
There was a time when I chatted to thin as lots did , nothing sexual and only once in pm he asked me if I fancied a shag, I told him I didn’t fancy him and he replied I don’t fancy you either but I’ve had worse.
Sometime later he was pm’ing me saying someone was going in to Forum Three early in the morning abusing Kenty. He suspected it was Annette Curtain. I told him I would go in and have a look when I could.
He was right it was her, she was going in under other names to have a go at Kenty and thin, he had been vile to her and she was getting her revenge.
Naturally I couldn’t tell him it was her but both Kenty and thin are not daft they didn’t need me to tell them. I’m guessing from my silence when asked he would have guessed!
There was a meet one weekend, due to my age and decrepit state of mind not forgetting my gin soaked state of mind of course I really can’t remember when but as we couldn’t go we arranged to meet up for lunch.
We met in a rather grubby pub in Towcester it was a convenient distance for both of us. I gave a false name of course when I booked, we had a decent enough lunch and thin had very good manners and was very good company, though I did giggle when he accidently picked up my glasses instead of his to read the menu. We said our goodbyes in the car park and he kissed me on the cheek.
That was that.I seriously can’t remember how the next lunch came about, I’m sure he will fill you in, but we went to one of my favourite restaurants at Priors Hardwick. Think it was a Sunday lunch. It’s a lovely old place, naturally I wondered if he would turn up but he did and the food was simply lovely and thin was a perfect gentleman, such nice manners, we chatted about so many things and though you won’t believe it, hardly anything to do with JC. He offered to pay for the meal but of course I paid my half. It was a very pleasant lunch so had no reason not to wish to meet again for a convivial conversation.
There again I really can’t remember how the next meeting came about it’s a long time ago but I knew at the time it would make some chatters gossip and judge me for going to meet thin but then why would I care a chatroom is a chatroom and has nothing to do with one’s real life. I invited him to come to a picnic at Stowe Gardens with his dog.
As we got there and met in the Car Park, troubs rang him and and while he was speaking to her his doggie did a poo which he promptly picked up and put in a poo bag lolI took the picnic, think I took smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches, pasta salad, lettuce and some toms, a fruit salad and half a bottle of wine. He enjoyed that.
Only once did he mention JC as we were walking to the lake and suggested I might have met him for this picnic to annoy Annette Curtain. I didn’t comment just smiled! The grounds at Stowe are so beautiful we both walked round them enjoying the sights, thin pointed out different birds that were flying over the lake to me and the thing that made me giggle the most was when we came upon a bush that was buzzing with bees, he was so into it and explaining them to me, I so vividly remember no one in JC would ever believe how thin is so in tune with nature and that he is explaining the birds and the bees to me lol You couldn’t make it up!
As we sat having our picnic he explained to me how he had rescued his beloved doggie, she was so lovely and loving and so good I adored her, she had been through such a hard time when he took her on, he showed me her scars and I knew it had cost him a fortune to relieve her pain and it only made me wonder how this man could be so cruel to humans when he can be so kind to animals.
He did talk about his children to me and some other things but I will never reveal what he said, he took pics of me I didn’t mind, but I remember looking at him sideways and thinking geez I can’t think why these women think your so shaggable but nevertheless your good company.
People have slated and hated me for meeting thin and yes very good friends have thought I was out of my mind and have almost fallen out with me for meeting him. However, I will never regret a single moment , I don’t do regrets . What makes me sad is that thin will never learn that being nice has it’s benefits and if only you can let go of the past there are people that will forgive and forget and you can move on and be the real person you are and not the cruel, evil person you want us all to see!

19 April, 2016 at 7:50 pm #991616That is so touching *wipes a tear from me eye.
LD (yes, for it is she, the dreaded one) has written such a beautiful account of her meeting with thin ice. She braved the wrath of her peers to meet this man, and the hunch turned out so well. Instead of the swine he appears to be on the site, the pain-in the-backside who dragged netty into a seventy-volume blow-by-blow obsessive mutual put-down session, LD met a lovely and shy man, a poetic soul and sensitive too, with a ickle wounded dog whose treatment at the vet was paid for by thin himself. Poor, perjur’d fleeting thin, at one with nature as he walked through the park, quiet, polite, soulful, picking up his dog’s mess rather than leaving it for other souls to step or slide along. This man is a patriot (as in the John Arden play), a man who pays his way unlike the rubbish on benefits, a true Briton who is said to take some very good photographs of the women he has met.
And LD, whose beautifully-written account should not be mistaken for cheap Woman’s Own romance, has a sensitivity of her own. She could see through the appearances to the lovely soul within the uneducated builder. How noble the two of them are. I can see why cosy has been slavering like a dog in pursuit of her for such a long time.
So we say farewell as they walk into the sunset together – LD, so wrongfully accused of hacking into private mails and sharing gossip, so aware of how pants many of the rest of us are, revealed here as a woman of style and taste; and ‘poor, perjur’d, fleeting’ thin, a soulful and sensitive man, gentle and close to nature, walking slowlywith a steaming dogturd in his hand.
