Well i like the you tube thread in F3 right now. I’ve taken up looking for old songs now i have speakers.

The Grand National thread was constructive – in places!

what about an agony aunt.. erm i mean uncle section?… “Dear PB” where people can pm you intimate details of their personal problems, and after you have considered all options ….and stopped laughing, you can provide them with advice on how best to deal with their unfortunate dilema’s.

Thats a bloody good idea pebbles, I like that. PB is very good at giving out “words of advice”, but he has to promise to post the pm,s afterwards so we can all have a good laugh, I mean offer our advice. *cough*

Oh God – I’m in the **** yet again. Martin asked me to write a newsletter article only last week. Yes I said – no problemo.

However, I am currently repainting the windows at the front & back of the house and I’m totally knackered at the end of each day … so I simply haven’t had the energy to sit down and get one written.

My apologies to one and all.

BTW … does anybody have any ideas for what could (or should?) be included???

So either you have sh it loads of money, live in a mansion with original, rotting windows or, you are a minger with consensation and rotten windows….hence the painting….anyway, safestyle uk mate, you buy one, you get one free

This is just to say that I am moving ever closer to doing my contribution to the JC Newsletter …. but still really slowly. sorry about that. My excuses are as follows:

The back windows are now done – but you know how it is when what at first appears to be a little job simply grows and grows? So I noticed that the guttering was leaking where there was a join (above the back door). It’s an old cast iron gutter, heavy as hell and fixed to the fascia board with old and very rusted brackets.

I cut out the corroded bit to replace it with a plastic insert, …… it and the entire thing came away from the fascia board !!!!!. So now we have a nice new shiny plastic gutter across the entire back of the house. Once it had fallen off and smashed into pieces on the patio beneath, I also noticed that the paintwork on the fascia board was knackered. Much rubbing down, priming, undercoating and glossing – and now I am a day and a half behind.

It has rained on an off all day Saturday and Sunday so instead of finishing off the front I have only managed to prepare, prime and undercoat half a bay window.

I keep on asking myself what the hell I’m doing at my age, crawling around on scaffolding painting and repairing gutters and windows. Hmmmmm !!! Then I remember how much I am saving by doing the job myself.

Mind you – some bastard somewhere is doing a rain dance and if I get my hands on them ……………. !!!
