You should….It sure beats being sober!

I disagree, I’ve never been a drinker and new year’s no exception. There’s a lot to be said for it, especially if someone can’t remember the night before and they’re counting on you for the details!

Oh, the fun I’ve had with that

i always hate going out with smug sober people. Drinking is no fun when theyre around, you need to be pi.ssed to appreciate other pi.ssed people!

Sober people just look on in disgust and then gloat about not having a hangover the next day when everyone else feels like sh.it! AND, like you, they take far too much enjoyment in filling in the missing gaps that no one wants to be reminded of!

Theres a very good reason we like to “forget” what we did the night before!

So I’ll cancel Saturday night then? Believe me, you have no idea the entertainment value of pi.ssed people to a sober person and in any case – if anyone is daft enough to ask me for details about the previous night (I think you missed that bit about folk asking as oppose to me simply telling) and honestly thinks I’m going to do anything other than have a laugh at their expense (in other words, lie as much as possible) then I can’t help that.

It’s not my fault if they should know better

Well believe it or not, I only drink at ‘special’ occassions.

I am usually sober and even if wasn’t I can take my drink quite well….and I remember everything the next day

Some folk do take it too far – if a mate of mine has a few drinks and does/says something that I know he/she would be embarrased about in the cold light of day then I won’t tell them about it. If they recall something but can’t remember what, I’ll tell them a version of events they can laugh off as oppose to one they wouldn’t.

I like a wind up or three, but I know not to cross the line.
