I have just seen a trailer for a new sunday night drama about the moors murders…….my vote for this programme will be the off switch……..
Grown policemen cried in court when they heard the young girl about to be murdered crying out for them not to hurt her…….
How is this programme entertainment??
My heart goes out to the familieswho still live with it xxxx

11 May, 2006 at 8:44 pm #215019Thing is this will not be the first “sick” murder to be made into a pragramme or film there are so many.

Yes a friend of my family dealt with the cases at the time and he heard the tapes, of the kids screaming, he never got over that. Still has nightmares now after all those years. Its something that will never be forgotten, and I believe the victims familys tried to stop the programme being screened but to no avail. Some members of the public like to see these things I suppose its humans inquisitive nature to want to watch programmes like this.

Balls Owen. The market dictates. Did anyone say ” I want Wheatyflakes?” No, someone came up with Wheatyflakes and sold them. Don’t be so naive.
The market provides only what it believes/knows people will buy.
11 May, 2006 at 9:12 pm #215023Doesnt the market research to see what the consumer wants to buy, then market it ?
11 May, 2006 at 9:14 pm #215024Fact is everyone of us at some point watched a “true life crime” on a programme or film or read a book on it

Alternately, they find out how many people buy the Sun, and market accordingly
