Hey Everybody, not sure if this is the place for this, but I just signed up. I’m looking for a decent general discussion forum, and this place seems to have a variety of stuff going on.
I’m 29, from Boston, and for a paycheck I negotiate and administer research funding contracts at a state university here. But my passion is guitar-playing and songwriting. I’m on a few guitar forums too, but they tend to be dominated by teenage boys, and I’m looking for a little MORE where conversation is concerned.
So yeah, happy to be here I guess, I’ll probably lurk a bit and do some reading to get a feel of the tone of this place before I start really posting. But I’m really lookin’ forward to just shootin’ the breeze with you folks.

Glad to be here, I’m assuming the membership will be mostly British people, being that it’s a UK forum. Anyway that’s cool by me, the Brits are usually my favorite people on most other forums I participate in; and those derelict Australian prison-colonists. I generally get along with them pretty well too.
I got married last summer and we went to London for our honeymoon. When we told the Londoners we were honeymooning there, the usual response was, “Why?” or “Don’t like the sun huh?” good stuff.

You’re lucky then …. in Central London the ‘T’ Shirt of choice says on the front “Welcome to all American Tourists” and on the back “Do I look like a fucking tourist guide???”
Anyway you will have been introduced to our traditional beers – served at room temperature so you can taste them – and containing real alchohol.
Oh and please refrain from using the word “sanitise” in here – the females all think it’s something to do with tampons.
That said, stroll around and post rubbish to your heart’s content – everybody else does!

Mainly classic rock kinda stuff, blues and funk. My biggest influences are (ironically enough) 60’s Brit Blues and psychedelic rock, Cream, Traffic, The Faces, Yardbirds, Pink Floyd, etc and I dig some American “jam” bands too like The Grateful Dead, Phish, Allman Brothers. I’m in two bands right now; one pretty much all instrumental funk jamming, and the other, newer band, features some covers and more concise originals with lyrics and stuff like that.

We had a great time there. I had been once before, and my wife had been there a few times, but never together. We knew our way around well enough, didn’t need to ask directions at all, and I was already well acquainted with your beer, and “food” as you call it, lol. Actually I think British food gets a bad rap. It’s basically meat, pastry, and fat. What’s not to like?
