actuallt i can understand the holday home part of it as most young couples cant afford to buy homes in their own towns but then again neither can young folk afford to buy in our home village thanks to people from london buying here.

So you tar an entire country with the actions of a few extremists..in south wales, they’re more English than some of us, in North Wales, they value their welsh heritage to a greater extent.

I was in swansea last year, out on the town, having a few drinks- cos of my accent (ie non welsh boyo), I stood out like a sore thumb n all I got was friendly chat, a laugh n some nice welsh girlies to put a smile on me face- didnt get the cold shoulder or nothing. In fact, north or south wales is a really nice place but there are bound to be redneck places, jeez walking into salford n using a yorkshire accent is enough to get you lynched!

I dunno wasp, i take people as i find them- the french don’t talk to me except in french (which is unsuprising as its their language) n i dont expect em to talk english to me just cos they can n so i talk to them in their language. The spanish are rude until you can say “dos tazas del café y de un emparedado de jamón por favor” n the greeks are rude unless you spend money. The shop assistant at my local coop is as mardy as yer ar/se n shes white n 60. The assistant over at the newsagent is really chatty n happy n shes not white n about 25.

maybe im just lucky wherever i go- i even got into New Zealand through their notoriously tough customs n they just smiled n wished me a really great stay!!
