I saw the poll when it first went out and it has not been edited in anyway.

Don’t be sore losers, just because the majority of people do not agree with you!

 The poll has been changed but who cares, we all know what people really think 8)

I really can’t see what the issue is here. It seems that most users agree that £10 per annum isn’t a real problem. It equates to under 3 pence a day – pretty cheap for all the facilities that you will have.

Of course it is always possible to hack a server and get personal details, but we really believe that we have the systems in place to minimise this. I don’t want to disclose all our security procedures but I can tell you that the data held is downloaded daily onto a secure offline store and the online stuff is erased.

What part of ‘it’s not the money that’s the problem’ are we not making clear? :?

I wouldn’t care if you charged £50 a year – I just wouldn’t put my CC details through this site.

Anyways – I’ll be glad when Sunday gets here…

Sure no problem. Martin is dealing with them through the office admin team so I will pass on your request to him.

We are a bit inundated with requests at present so please bear with us if there is a slight delay.

 Of course he is! I’ll be waiting eagerly :D

I really cannot see where the problem lies. Using credit cards to pay for things electronically is a normal part of life for millions of internet users. Why on earth should JustChat users be different???

The thought that it’s a Privately Owned chatsite springs to mind. Is there a Grandfather Clause in there?

“In American English, a grandfather clause, or grandfather rule, is an exception that allows an old rule to continue to apply to some existing situations, when a new rule will apply instead in all future situations. It is often used as a verb: to “grandfather in” means to grant such an exemption. For example, a “grandfathered power plant” may be exempt from tougher pollution laws.

Often, such a provision is used as a compromise, to effect new rules without upsetting a well-established physical or political situation. As well as being “grandfathered in” to avoid suffering new penalties, people may be “grandfathered in” to receive new benefits they are not otherwise entitled to. For example, if a company has a pension plan and then after a certain date the benefits get better but the already-retired get the benefits, then one might say they were “grandfathered in”. This amounts to the same thing as being “retroactively applied”.”

Hell Yes I copied that from someplace else – I’m not that intelligent

So, you can reserve the right to “Grandfather” in existing users and apply the cc info to new ones. I’m American so I think I’m probably screwed anyway. I’m sure our credit cards here are different then the ones there. Let’s try to be diplomatic here – Shall we?

Be interesting to see if such a form exists, huh?

Or maybe the delay is while PB makes one up
