    Erm, I got a new connection with a static IP, some permanent ppoe something or other lol.

    It’s always connected, but, there’s no lil flashing computer screens in the task bar anymore? How do I check my internet speed? I can’t find anywhere that tells you what speed you’re currently connected at.

    Just did that test that Fastcars found from previous.

    My prev results were:

    Download 940 kb/s

    Upload 238 kb/s

    The new results are:

    Download 1570 kb/s

    Upload 640 kb/s

    So a pretty big improvement 8)

    Not in Yorkshire Tommy …. it’s too far away from civilisation to get the full 8Mb speed.

    You might get 1 – 2 Mbps if the weather is good.
