No offence, but even i wouldn’t admit to knocking him over.
2 November, 2007 at 11:00 am #291857This just shows that lots of people in cars do not look out for cyclists. We had a car pull out in front of us the other week and god only knows how we stayed on the bike. I have recently done my cbt and have got my lovely new bike but am a little jittery about getting out and about on it because of this. When you do your cbt they tell you to wear bright clothing so that you can be seen which means I’m going to have to replace my black leathers that I use for riding pillion :? ah well……

2 November, 2007 at 8:24 pm #291859I’ve never ridden a motorcycle but I have been a car driver for 35 years and have also driven HGVs and I ride a pushbike quite a lot.
Not seeing something is a problem common to all categories of road users – pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, car drivers, lorry and bus drivers. We can all fail to spot a hazard and must remind ourselves of that fact regularly. Take care and sorry to hear about the mishap.

2 November, 2007 at 10:53 pm #291861We nearly came a cropper today when somebody pulled out on to our road infront of us without looking. Dave was on the ball and breaked, but luckily there was nobody behind us or the rear end would have gone. I was all ready for a bit of road rage, the heckles were up, but the guy (who also had no lights on at 5pm) put his hand up straight away to say sorry.
He lives to drive another day…..lucky for him
Hope you get your bike sorted. I know a fair few biker enthusiasts and know how much they love them.
