DNA evidence alone doesnt convict people- but it gives the police leads to follow up- DNA kick starts good old fashioned police work.

yep like them watching the wrong cctv images from the wrong day ? then allowing this monster to be interviewed with his back to them, [not their fault, its down to human rights f.f.s] one officer actually gave him a verbal character build up because he had met him in a pub and thought he was an ok bloke ??? good judge of character. these cases will continue to happen as long as young girls are viewed as easy tottie and men are viewed as one of the lads. police officers are only human beings after all and men at that ! just see the mental picture of these poor young lasses that have been murdered, their pictures being passed around the station, how many of the coppers said ” i would wouldnt you ” end of dignity for the dead girl and a cheap sex joke with the lads [again] and i know very well that it does happen because i know several serving and retired officers. the p.c brigade may be walking the corridors knocking on doors but they arent out there doing the jobs are they ? ive had officers turn up to trouble in a pub, only to spent twenty minutes chatting young lasses up after the event. no arrests just phone numbers and banter.. when you employ boys thats what you get.

Interesting bit of bias Waspish …. but what would your view be if it was a female Police officer that did, or assisted in, the interviews???

Funnily enough it was CCTv images which led the police to the bus stop stalker who was convicted yesterday.

totally get yer point pet, but honest to god hand on heart ive never heard a female officer talk this way, ive never seen a female officer chatting anyone up [even the boiler suited ones] i know it was extremeley sexist but im being honest with ya. i actually have heard a police officer refer to a young lass who had been slapped in the pub i owned, as a “bit of a bike” and the girl who did it was referred to as “a bit of a grunter” even if the cops were correct, and even if the lasses were arseoles. they shouldnt be saying stuff like that.it shows that all the fancy equality, and diversity training in the world wont stop men with a hat thinking they are superior. whats the old saying ? give a man a hat and you give im a purpose in life. the only thing is, nowadays they all wear fancy designer sun shades as well and think theyre robo cop. not all of them granted. i know a couple of realy good bobbies and have a lot of respect for them. they do a thankless job and every body hates them. and over the last twenty years or so the force has cleaned its act up a lot. but not so much their attitudes toward women. its the same old same old as far as i can see. if young lass is involved in an argument and she is wearing a min skirt and virtually nothing else. [as a lot of em do] and shes having a ding dong with another young lass who is dressed head to toe in designer gear and expensive accessories, you can bet yer ass that the mini skirted one is treated like a criminal and the better off one is given every courtesy. even tho they both behave like twonks. stereotyping and pidgeonholing is very much alive and well in the force, and in general innit? i know cos im guilty of it myself as well.
