My sentiments exactly. Same goes for the likes of Coathanger and her stories. A name changing abuser. A troll. But sadly lauded in here because of her choice of subject matter.
So your saying you’ve never changed your name for purposes unknown to others?
30 April, 2012 at 10:00 pm #494991I apologise if my post has come in the middle of yours J in France there seems to be a technical problem but you get the gist lol
30 April, 2012 at 10:16 pm #494992As in most things I guess it is always a personal view but it appears to me that the majority of name changers are male. But there is a saying ‘a woman scorned…..’
The majority of people can not over a period of time completely hide their personality behind another and often make a slip though there are also those who make a habit by becoming multiple persona’s in chat
Taking chat too seriously? I would guess not as I have only had time to pop in once in the last fortnight. Just saying things as I see them over time.
30 April, 2012 at 10:36 pm #494993What I dont understand is if admin know the identity of people who do the abuse why dont they just ban them? Especially if they are putting personal information in the room… isn’t it justifiable to ban them?
If as has been suggested they are aware of the gender of these people then surely that means they know who they are… why aren’t they banned?
1 May, 2012 at 12:29 am #494994tbh i never name change,ok yeh, stony cosy, best man, rogue ,but i have to move with the times,i seriously dont abuse anybody men/women,but if they have a “pop” at me,of course i will have a go back,im a mancunian im bound to retaliate, thats the way we are bbrought up..one thing i will never do tho,is come on in a snidey name, you would know it was me anyway :(
1 May, 2012 at 8:29 am #494995I have my “fair” share of abuse from namechangers like many chatters…the other morning infact…same ole boring stuff….name calling…accusations…..so I asked the namechanger to come in their usual name and say what they need to say…and they in return replied “if I do will you admit to being a ****”….so I said “yes”……..guess what..the namechanger said “nah” ………funny that isn’t it?
Why would anyone be so uptight about what anyone else does in a chat room to the point the abuser needs to mention it time and time again? How does the persons actions you are accusing affect your life to the point u need to use exclamation marks and capital letters :lol:1 May, 2012 at 8:31 am #494996@HostLD wrote:

why, LD, you should read the original comment.
I’ve never changed my name for malicioous reasons, any more than you would abuse your position to read pms and check out on people to write astories about them. That would be genuinely abusive.
Also I will not allow anyone here into my FB, as my FB contains my family and my real name. I refuse to give out my real name in this room to ANYBODY for all sorts of reasons, one of which is the tendency of some of the malicious name-changers to embarrass and publicise any individual they happen not to like. This has happened in chat to a number of people, and it’s appalling – at least on a par wiht chat hosts voyeurism, though I’m sure this doesn’t take place.
But changing your name in a non-malicious manner is part and parcel of chat. I rarely do it, but there was a time when I delighted in it. If it upset somebody, I would stop. I expect others to do it in a similarly playful way, and to stop if I get upset about it (part of my growing problem with coathanger).
I am very old-fashioned and socialist – think people should help one another and respect one another. I realise that not everybody’s like this.

PS those who have to post phone numbers or personal details using other names are beneath contempt
Yep, and those who use peoples real names in chat when speaking to them – why??
1 May, 2012 at 9:42 am #494999one should never use ppls real names on chat/boards its privileged info, but pms are ok.
