Now then, I,ve been having a good look at my new pc,s functions, and I,ve found allsorts of interesting buttons to press. But can anyone tell me what that command prompt thingy is for? It explains it all in fluent Punajbi, but unfortunately I don,t speak Punjabi. I,ll probably never use the bloody thing, I just want to know what it,s function in life is because it looks interesting. I,d have rung my “techinal advisor” but he,s been busy painting and writing the newsletter.
11 April, 2008 at 10:19 pm #324783Absolutely and utterly —- DO NOT TOUCH THE COMMAND PROMPT !!!!!
Look … there are all sorts of things that you could mess around with on your nice new shiny computer – please please please do not get carried away and touch them …OK???
12 April, 2008 at 5:16 am #324784Its one of those things left over from the “pre windows” days.
Its there for people who still have “DOS” programs and need to run them.
Its simple to use but I can’t think of any programs in the last 10 years that use it.
But if your new computer goes wrong and windows refused to start, you will need it.

It,s just that I find these things, they look interesting and I wonder what they do. I,ll leave it alone then.

That was one hellava a warning lo,l lucky though, you do know that that is the command to blow up your house and your computer and everything within a 5 mile radius lol
Now just play with the standard letters and numbers and don’t touch nowt else there’s a love ;)
12 April, 2008 at 6:58 am #324787I have the solution for it,
Go to start,
Run,
Type cmd.exe,
once the box comes up press C: then enter.
then type Deltree, and then enter,
hey presto no more computer problems ever again!12 April, 2008 at 7:02 am #324788@anita Gofradump wrote:
