27 January, 2012 at 11:34 pm #488815oh i see coat, well i hate all that hacking business so anyone that does it is in the wrong, my point was not to assume it was someone without actually knowing thats all, i know i would have hated it if ppl had genuinely thought i had sent out the one that went from mine, fortunately no one did and i picked up on it pretty quick and was able to e mail saying dont open it lol
27 January, 2012 at 11:39 pm #488816Yes , I agree, unfortunately it happens … nowt more strange than folk ey ?? cause disruption and hassle for no reason, and not kids doing it either , more than likely Grandfathers, and in some cases Grandmothers, should be ashamed !! sad lives.

Quite often the malicious e-mails are sent from a hacked account where the address list is used in BCC – next the title will be something like pics or hey so you think it is a genuine e-mail. But when you open the e-mail there is a banner that says click here to see the pics. This link has your e-mail address in it and if you click it you are then risking downloading malicious software.
If more than one e-mail is sent the title is likely to be different
Safest thing is to delete the e-mail without clicking the link
27 January, 2012 at 11:50 pm #488818My email was just entitled ….Hey.
As the person concerned claims to be banned and cannot answer for himself here maybe we should let this thread be now.
Im not a techie I know weird things can happen with emails… as far as this person is concerned there will never be any future dialogue between us so its not an issue for me …. as for others well at least we have highlighted the dangers of opening suspect emails from whatever source.
27 January, 2012 at 11:53 pm #488819That is precisely why I have typed what I have – so people do NOT open an email from me! The rest of it, I have already typed out, as have a couple of others on threads too btw!!!!!
