So is it Joker, links to who knows where that people have put on JC, itunes or what? I think you need to be careful before making accusations.
For the last 6 weeks I’ve been battling with viruses on my laptop, as quickly as I got rid of them they came back again. Last week it all came to a head with a particularly nasty virus crashing my laptop completely. I got in touch with my anti-virus software company who were wonderful (their support didn’t cost me a penny as I pay the princely sum of £30 a year and that covers not just the software but unlimited support which, until now, I haven’t needed). I have to admit that I couldn’t quite share their excitement at finding two new variant trojans that had never been logged before, but was relieved when they resolved it and got my laptop working back as it should be.
So of course I asked the question, how did these viruses get in? With the two new variants that was easy, they were new and unknown variants and although the software detected them it couldn’t clean them up. But what about all the others that have been sneaking in?
Apparantly I had a piece of malware on my laptop that had opened a kind of portal that let all and sundry in.
Where did it come from?
A joke email I received via hotmail apparently…no, Joker doesn’t have my hotmail id so he’s not in the frame…however, needless to say, I won’t be accepting any more joke emails via hotmail even if I do know the person sending them.
