my book

look for me and I’ll look for you
treat me right
and I would treat you good
look after the good things in our life
and let them treat us back
we are who we are
and I like the way we are

so take a look at my book
you got to read me though
not just look at my cover
to understand me and the things I do
take the time to get to know me
don’t say that this is over
before you get to the end
don’t give up on me half way through
don’t put me down before its over my friend

look for me in the night
and I’ll find a way for you to find me
I’ll be the one standing outside
your door
look for me tonight
and I’ll be the one needing you
I’ll be the searching for
a little bit more of you

so take a look at my book
and be patient
don’t put me down
for what’s on the cover
get to know me
and I will get to know you
