Martin I,m getting a message appear on my screen most mornings now re my AVG virus protection that I downloaded. I get a funny grey and black box appear in my taskbar and a speech bubble which says:

AVG Control Centre. Internal Virus Database. Date of internal virus database is incorrect.

What does that mean in English and how do I sort it please?

Just had a thought. Does it acutally matter if the date is incorrect? If it doesnt I,ll leave it. Knowing my luck I,ll make a pigs ear of it then have to spend 6 hours on the phone with PB.

if you double click on the AVG icon on your taskbar (its usually next to your pc clock), it will bring up the AVG control centre. there is a button on the left hand side that says check for updates, click on that and then click the internet button and it should atuomatically download and install any updates available. AVG usually updates everyday btw.

Yup it does indeed update itself every day and do a virus scan as well,. but it still says the same thing about the date. :? :?
