This is according to Muslim labour MP for Birmingham Berry Bar Khalid Mahmood. There have been calls for the Muslim communities to integrate more into society and adapt more to western culture.
I tend to agree. We in this country, seem to pander to the Muslim community for some reason. Why? I would like someone to explain to me in simple English, why this is? These days we can’t seem to do anything in this country in case it upsets Muslims.
Ive no doubt someone will throw the racist card at me…as you wish. I,m not being racist, but when you type, rather than actually speak to try and get your point of view across, I guess it’s harder. Over to,you.

this has been something we have worked hard to do over the past 5 years as many English people and polish etc have also been branded Racists which i feel is totally unfair,
In our current times we should be embracing changes within communities and cultures not be trying to-oust them but and this is where the controversy comes in to play, Many and i do mean MANY Muslims will simply throw out that we are racist or against them because of their color, faith etc which is simply unfair, untrue if we was these types of people in every part of the UK we would simply be stopping these minorities entering our Glorious Country,So throwing it back my Question is does this make me a racist to believe that we should simply embrace all walks of life its all about Love not Hate in my faith and my community.
Why would you want to even have the tag ” racist” around you ? personally i dont i hate the word and think too many people are quick to use it.

12 April, 2016 at 2:22 pm #991031i couldnt care what religon colour or creed someone is i will speak my mind and if i think ya a plonker i will say so .
i love meeting ppl from all walks of life and finding out about there culture and opinions even if they differ from mine it would be a boring place if we all believed in the same things wouldnt it?
what i strongly object to is when my opinions and beliefs arepushed aside and in some cases stopped or altered to suit others,
IE our local school has stopped calling it a christmast carol service as not wanting to offend others i have no problems with others fectivals and religeous dates so why should they have a problem with mine? its christmas not happy holiday services.
live at let live is my motto as long as by doing so you are not causing serious harm to someone else.
why everyone cant live in peace with each other
12 April, 2016 at 3:08 pm #991033Thank you AB. Neither do I, despite opinion to the contrary. Someone can be pink, white., blue or green with orange spots for all I care.
My point is, if you come to,live in our country from another country/culture, you accept OUR laws, culture etc and respect that.
So who will calling a Christmas Carol service what it is, offend then? Makes me so mad! It’s a Christ,as Carol service, and if other minorities don’t like it….follow the exit door and turn the light off on your way out!
12 April, 2016 at 5:26 pm #991038All faiths have a god etc so therefor i think Christmas should be took on by all and similar with schools Christmas services and i noticed Easter is something that the schools these days are not really taking much point on,
I do agree with you Tinsel that if they enter our country they should respect our traditions and laws etc.
maybe we are dying breeds in thinking this? lol12 April, 2016 at 6:28 pm #991044Methinks we are young Jack lol.
12 April, 2016 at 8:49 pm #991050not a clue who it will offend but we got a letter from the school saying they will no longer be calling it christmas carols or cristingle services as it may offend , i just think the world has gone bonkers
i have been with my grandson to Diwali light festivals at school i went with him to midnight mass coz he asked me too , i just think its wrong that he has been denied a christmas carol service its pathetic it really is, for god sake and that is what it boils down to the word christ the son of god nothing more nothing less
i personally dont believe in a god as such but i do believe in heaven
i dont force my thoughts on anyone and id like my grandson to make his own mind up which he cant do if he isnt allowed to experience everything he wants rant over12 April, 2016 at 9:18 pm #991058Oh fgs AB. Ridiculous! When I was a kid, we had Christmas nativity plays at school, and YES, the wise men and the Kings did wear tea towels on their heads, and no, no one was ‘offended’ because there was nothing to be offended about!
You just cannot do anything these days, without some sensitive little soul being offended. Makes me so mad.
