Any lawyer would take the case, indiscrimate of their own creed or beliefs… they have one common belief and that is money smells the same to all of them, no matter where it comes from.
26 June, 2008 at 1:59 pm #348993It’s a bit difficult styling hair properly when it’s covered by a hijab.

you’ve lost the plot luv.
If you’re an employer you should be allowed to make the decision about who works for you. And believe it or not the clothes you wear ARE important when going for an interview as we were taught when we were younger.
If I went for an interview in my pyjamas I wouldn’t expect to get the job and if I DID get the job it’d be for a company I really wouldn’t want to work for. :roll:26 June, 2008 at 6:49 pm #348995I suppose that I must have lost the plot (because it seems the rest of humanity has done so). Oh and don’t refer to me as ‘luv’ I’m sure your a great guy and all that it’s just I’m not gay. Superficial appearence should not, in a civilised society at least, be the only way in which people are judged, I personally try to hold back my judgement of a person until I know more about them and until then I treat them for what they are… Human.

Two things.
1) It’s not “your” it’s “you’re”. Being thick is no excuse for bad grammar is it?
2) I couldn’t care less whether you’re gay or not so please don’t bore me with that shit.26 June, 2008 at 8:43 pm #348997*yawn* sorry were you saying something? you’re probably only talking such crap because you want me ya dirty get

My local barbers charge £15 for a haircut n one of the stylists is bald as a babies bum- should they sack him as he cannot “display” the latest fashion in hairware?
Your clothes at an inerview should be a reflection of who you are and what image you wish to portray hence turning up in pyjamas would likely get you viewed as a lazy ar/se- turning up in a hijab would likely get you viewed as a muslim and nothing else

gotta disagree if
the woman was not employed as part of the job entailed showing urban hairstyles as part of the shops urban image
is true The point of the thread seemed to be more about her being muslim than anything else, she claimed she won i’d have done same thing if i thought i’d get the cash.

And I disagree entirely with you Slayer
Of course how you dress is a reflection of who you are – so lowering the dress code is about right for today’s society o f low morals and zero respect
If i’m an employer – i’m taking the risks , i’m paying the wages , therefore show some respect and dress as i request – otherwise take a hike
Unfortunately in todays wishy washy liberal society of politically correct nonces , it seems to be anyone’s human right to do as they please
If she wanted the job all she had to do was take the hijab off – because she wont – then she’s not suitable for the job – simple as
